They make him live in a closet in the basement. One day Harry gets a letter from Hogwarts School of Whitchcraft and Wizardry. Soon he is on his way there. He leaves his aunt and uncle to live at the school. My favourite part of the story is when Harry puts the sorting hat on. I think this is a good book for ages 10 and up. 2. Vernon did everything to stop the letters from getting in he did things such as nailing doors and windows shut to leaving their house. while they were in a small cottage a giant named hagrid came and told harry the truth of his past and how his parents really died. Hagrid took harry shopping for his uniform & supplie she needed to enter Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardy after all harry potter was a wizard a great wizard. I bought the first book and when I started to read it i couldn't put it down. I'm 19! At school I over heard a friend of the same age talking about the books. I couldn't believe that she was reading them too. It turned out that at least 5 other people I know-all in high school-were reading these books and enjoying them as much as myself.
