He knows all  to well that dreams seldom come true. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : Carnil is an inter-dimensional traveller. He's both a path  finder, and a spy, and if the situation needs it, he's been  known to be an assassin as well. He's been a warrior all  his life, and frankly, he's getting a wee bit tired of blood  and gore. Fed up with past relationships that either went no where or were abrutly ended (usually in death), Carnil  decided to take leave of the court of his queen to explore  distant worlds, and maybe, just maybe, find the one with  whom he's meant to be.  By virtue of a spell-glyph in the form of a wolf's head tattoo  between his shoulder blades, he can transform at will into a  red-furred wolf. He retains all his intelligence and is a ferocious  hunter in both forms.   A skilled warrior, Carnil is also a hunter and an assassin.  Though he is very easy going and mild mannered at most  times, he can easily turn into a cold blooded killer if not  halted in his actions. An expert in combat and fighting,  Carnil is proficient in the usage of many weapons, though  when pressed, he'll be happy with whatever is at hand.  Being a lord of several royal courts and kingdoms 'back home'  Carnil demostrates his fine manners when the situation calls for it, but his basic nature, being brought up by wolves (long, long story but not so cliched that he was just a babe in arms  when the wolfies adopted him) he'd like nothing better than  to hunt and lie in the sun all day.
