*Stunned*

I awoke the next morning to the sound of someone banging on my door. I jumped up, almost immediately, and looked through the peephole. It was Kait and Sky. I opened the door and they walked in. From the looks on their faces, they really wanted to tell me something and couldn't decide on which one should do it.

"Sky, what's going on here?"-I asked, as I sat down on the couch, and turned on the television. out of habit.

Sky and Kait both sat down beside me. I was surrounded. "Well, you know how we're getting married and stuff? Well, we want to see you happy too and we want you to go out with us. Just for fun."

I looked at them with "the look" and said, "what in the h*ll are you talking about? I don't want to go out and as you said, you gals are getting married. What are you thinking?"

"That doesn't mean our single life is over quite yet. We can go out dancing for God's sake."-Kait stated matter-of-factly.

They both were looking at me with that pleading look in their eyes. It was kind of scary, but I kind of wanted to see what they were planning. "Ok, sure. I'll go. When are we leaving?"

"Meet us at *The Basement* at 7 PM. See ya then!" Sky called as Kait and she left. The Basement was a hot club that all of the popular, rich locals loved going to. If we don’t get bombarded by people, it'll be a miracle. What the heck were they thinking?

I sat back on the couch. "Oh, what in the heck is going on?" I said out loud to myself. I shrugged my shoulders and relaxed a little more and watched a commercial. A Britney commercial was on. BRITNEY! Ooh, I got a plan!

*~7 PM (w/ Sky and Kait)~*

Sky and Kait had arrived at the club and hour early just to make sure they saw her enter. They couldn't wait to see how she would handle their 'surprise'. A smile was plastered on their faces as their fiancés walked over to them and asked them to dance.

A few minutes later, the girls saw Jordan arrive. Kait and Sky both excused themselves from their dance and began to meander through the crowd, toward her direction. All of a sudden, Kait stopped dead in her tracks, which caused Sky to smack into her, since she was concentrating more on the music than her. "Kait! What are you doing? You can’t just stop all of a sudden, especially in these surroundings. Move on please." Sky requested. Since she was behind Kait, she couldn’t see what Kait saw.

"Sky, look at who she’s with." Kait said. "What is she doing? This is going to ruin everything!" Kait exclaimed as she placed a hand over her mouth.

Sky looked up and over Kait’s shoulder and saw Jordan having what looked like a very entertaining conversation with Britney. "Oh my God," was all Sky could say. "I hope Justin hasn’t seen either of them yet."

They got closer to the girls, who had created a crowd and were each dancing with a group of guys.

"Ok. Sky, you take Britney and I’ll take Jordan. Keep them as far apart as possible. Go." Kait said.

"K." Sky said as she walked toward Britney and started to dance with a few guys that were around her. Just so she kept her eye on her, everything would be ok.

Kait walked up to Jordan. "I need to talk to you."

"What?!?" Jordan yelled over the music.

"I need to talk to you." Kait gestured and yelled at the same time.

"Ok, hold on Kaitlyn." Jordan said as she tried to turn and tell Britney, but she almost tripped and by this time Britney was laughing uncontrollably. "Um, Be right back Britney!" Jordan said in between giggles.

Kait took a hold of Jordan’s hand and began pulling her through the crowd, toward the women’s room. "Whoa Kaitlyn, what’s up girl? You’re holding on pretty tight. Are you pissed or something?"

Kait stopped as soon as she got inside the bathroom door. "First of all, Jordan Miller, You have never called me by my first name since we were in elementary school or when you’re drunk, so what the h*ll is wrong with you? What did she do with you? And, why did you let her do it?"

"I don’t know, but that was some pretty good sh*t. Whatever it was." Jordan said as she began making faces to herself in the full-length mirrors that were on the walls and ceilings.

"Oh my God." Kait said as she shook her head. She was afraid for her friend. What was happening to her? "And, second, Justin is out there and you better hope he hasn’t seen you yet."

"Justin. Haha, that’s funny." Jordan said stumbled back over to Kait. "So, why are we in here if Justin’s out there? What’s he doing here anyway?"

"This is not the time. I’m going to take you home. You can’t handle anything else tonight. Let’s go." Kait demanded as she reached for Jordan’s hand and was about to lead her out the door, but Jordan stopped her.

"What do you mean? I’m not going anywhere. I came here to have fun with my friend. How was I supposed to know you had Justin come along? I’m not in charge of him. Let him do as he pleases. Anyway, I have to get something to drink…." Jordan said as she opened the door to the bathroom, and she looked back to the stunned face of her friend, "Oh, and I’ll be staying over at Britney’s place tonight." She said as she joined the crowd in the next room and the door fell shut.

*Falling Again*

I woke up with a splitting headache. My arms were wrapped around a huge pillow and my one leg was on the couch and the other was over the edge. I stretched up and wiped my eyes, as usual, and kicked the rest of the blanket, that was actually still covering me, to the floor. I sat up slowly and yawned. Every muscle in my body felt tense and sore. My eyes kept fluttering open and shut. I clearly was not ready to get up and for some reason I could not remember anything about last night. I noticed that there were alcohol bottles strewed all around. I hope I didn't drink ALL of that. I had to have had some help. I looked around and noticed that I wasn't at my place. I saw a picture on a stand and saw that it was of Britney and her mother, Lynne. Great, I'm at Britney's house. I want to get a shower and clean clothes and I'm stuck here. I looked around, from my spot on the couch, and tried to find a clock. There was none in this room. I stood up and situated my shirt and skirt back to the way they were supposed to be. From the way they looked, I must have had quite a night of sleep last night.

The house was completely quiet. There wasn't even a sound as I made my way down the hall and toward the bathroom. At least Britney wasn't up yet. Not that I didn't like her, just that I really didn't feel like talking to anyone at this point. I'm tired and I'm in that mood that I just want to relax and tune myself out of the surrounding world around me.

I went to the bathroom and afterwards, I looked at the reflection in the mirror. It was a horrid sight. My eyes were dark, partially due to the makeup and partially due to the circles beneath them. My hair was almost standing out on end. I looked like Frankenstein's bride to say the least. Somewhere in this huge house was my shoes. I had to find them and then I could get out of here. Heck, I didn't even know how I got here. I found my cell phone in my purse which was on the stand by the couch. I got it out and called Kait. She would take me home.

The phone rang about 3 times and then the answering machine clicked on: "Hey, this is Kait's machine. Sorry, I'm not here right now. If this is Jordan, *sigh* then I hope you are alright and that we get to talk sometime soon. Last night was just crazy and I don't want to see you like that again. Well, I'll talk to you later. Bye...." BEEP....

I just clicked the phone off. Kait seemed really disappointed in me. I wonder what I did? I hated it when we fought, especially when I didn't know what was going on. Well, now what to do. The only person left to call was Skylar. I hope she's not mad at me too.

"Hello?" Sky answered.

"Hey Sky. I was just wondering if you could give me a ride home?" I asked, while leaning against the couch.

"Um...sure, I guess. I'm really glad you're ok. You were acting strange last night. So, you're at Britney's, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. Thanks so much." I told her. "Hey, I'm sorry if I did anything to disappoint you last night. I don't remember anything about it though."

"Well, it'll be ok. Kait was really hurt by it, but she'll come around. Hey, I'll be there in about 10 minutes." Sky explained as she hung up.

I put my phone back in my purse and sat back down on the couch. My blanket was still lying on the floor, so I decided to fold it before I left. When I was finished, I decided to leave Britney a note, just so she would know that I had left and appreciated her letting me stay the night. When I was done sticking the note to her fridge, I heard a beep out front. Sky was here.

I walked past the living room and picked up my purse as I headed out the door and to the car. The ride to my place was pretty quiet, neither of us finding the right thing to say. Most of all had been said on the phone previously. She parked her car right beside mine when we got there.

I opened the car door. "Thanks so much for bringing me home." I said as I got out. "Hey, I don't want us to grow apart and I feel that that is happening. It seems that the closer I get with Britney, the farther away I get from you and Kait. I never wanted that to happen."

She looked at me as tears formed in my eyes. "I'll always be your friend, girl. Remember, it lasts forever." She said as she smiled. "Kait will come around. She'll start to miss you before long."

"I'll miss her too. Hey, if you see her, could you tell her that I'm sorry?" I asked, as I wiped away a stray tear that had found it way to my chin.

"Sure thing, girl. Hey, don't be a stranger. Call me so we can do something sometime this week. Remember, we only have a break for a week. Have some fun and relax. You need it." Sky advised.

"Sure thing. Thanks." I said as I let the car door fall shut. I waved to her in her mirror as she drove off. I turned a few moments later and started the long trudge up the steps to my condo. I couldn't wait to get inside. I turned the door handle and walked in and locked it behind me. I immediately walked into the kitchen and noticed the blinking red light on the answering machine, beckoning me to push the 'play' button. I dropped my purse on the kitchen counter and pushed the button as I looked in the fridge for something to eat. I really needed to get some food. It was starting to look sad in there. I picked out just a bottle of water, for fear that everything else was either spoiled or rotten...eww, as a person's voice started to fill the air. The person was Kait, and she was crying.

"Jordan, listen, I need to talk to you sometime. I hope you do make it home ok. Listen, I don't mind your friendship with Britney, but I don't want you to shut me out ok? I'll always be here for you. Just remember that and don't let Britney persuade you into doing things that you don't want to do. I don't know what you were on last night, but it really scared me, the way you were acting. Well, I hope you're ok. Just relax and I'll talk to you later. Bye."

The next message was really unexpected. It was from Justin. "Hey Jordan, I'll be coming over later. I just want to make sure that you're ok. You seemed a little out of it last night from what everyone was saying, but you and Britney skipped out of the place before I had a chance to catch up with you. Well, see you later. Hope you're feeling alright. We really have a lot of things to talk about. Bye." Click. That was the end of my messages.

I sighed and started to undress as I made my way to my room. I walked out of the kitchen and stopped in my tracks, a bit surprised by what I saw. Justin was lying on my couch, asleep. His clothes were lying on the floor in a heap, by his side. I slowly walked over beside him. His uncovered chest was moving rhythmically up and down with each breath. However, I couldn't see his face because it was turned toward the back of the couch. The blanket was covering him from the waist down, so I reached down and pulled the blanket up a bit. He turned his face so that I could see it now. I smiled. He looked comfy, so I just walked past him once more and on to my bedroom to get a shower. That was what I needed right now, if anything.

About an hour later, I heard the phone ring and immediately after, I heard footsteps rushing to answer it. Justin was up. I was still lying in the bath, surrounded by vanilla-scented bubbles. It felt great, although the water was slowly cooling down. A few moments later, there was a knock at the door.

"Yes Justin, what do you need?" I asked before he popped his head around the door.

"I just wanted to tell you that Kait was just on the phone. I told her that you were kind of busy. She said that she understood." He explained, his eyes still glued to mine.

"Thanks. Hey, I'll talk to you in a minute. I just have to dry off here." I said as I leaned up to release the stopper that was holding the water in.

"Alright. I'll be in the living room." He said.

I got out a few moments later and dried off as I walked into my room and got dressed. I picked out a pair of loose-fitting, black jeans with a yellow Abercrombie shirt that I just picked up from my drawer without paying too much attention to it. I pulled on some socks before walking back into the bathroom and grabbing my brush. I combed my hair down and noticed that my face was looking a bit better than before. At least I felt like I was awake now. I sprayed on some CuRvE perfume before putting my hair up in a messy bun and walking out to the living room, where I found Justin waiting. He was fully-dressed this time in a form-fitting black top with no sleeves and a pair of wide-legs. He looked up at me as I walked between him and the coffee-table and sat down beside him. SpongeBob Squarepants was on the T.V.

"So...." I began. I wasn't quite sure of what to say. I didn't know what he was going to say. It was kinda awkward.

"Well, how have you been? You look good." He said, as directed his attention from the T.V. to me.

"Thanks. I still don't feel that well from last night, but I'm good. I've really missed seeing you around." I admitted. My hands were in my lap and I was doing that 'little twirl thing' with my thumbs.

"Yeah, me too." He said. Moments later, he reached over and lifted my chin up so our eyes were level. He smiled. I smiled. "Do you still love me?"

"Of course, always and forever." I said as a tear escaped from the corner of my left eye. That tear symbolized all the time I had spent without him and felt so alone and wanted him to be here.

He leaned down and kissed away the tear and then kissed me on the lips. It felt so great to have his lips touch mine again. A million chills went down my spine as he deepened the kiss and I succumbed to his overwhelming passion. I just kissed him back and a few moments later when we both pulled away, we had smiles on our faces. We were in love again. Maybe that was untrue to say, for we had always been in love, we just were separated for a while. Now, nothing could break us apart, as long as we could help it. I laid my head down on his chest as I closed my eyes and listened to his heart. The steady rhythm and the warmth of being in his arms had me asleep in seconds.

*Plans/Jitters/Visit*

(~About a week later~)

All of us were gathered at Kait's house. All the guys, all of Bliss, dancers, etc. were all there. Kait had left me a message saying to be over at about 10 this morning. I kind of knew that it was about the wedding. Everything is such a rush right now. This morning is actually the only morning that everyone had a break.

Kait, JC, and the wedding planner/coordinator were sitting around the large, oak kitchen table and everyone was gathered around them. "Ok, we have the flowers, the bridesmaids dresses, the tuxes, the church is booked?" She asked, looking toward Renee, the wedding coordinator.

She nodded her head in agreement as Kait continued. "Ok, now, Jo, Sky, Mandy, Sarah, and Jontelle, we need you girls to try on your dresses. They made them to the measurements you gave us, but we need to make sure they fit because I don't want to go in there and have a bridesmaid have to pull out of the whole thing just because of the dress."

Sky walked over to Kait. "Calm down girl. Now, where are the dresses?"

"Oh, they're in my room. Why don't all the ladies go to my room so we can discuss some things and all the guys stay here and discuss what they need to? It'll make it easier and quicker." Kait suggested, as she began to get up.

"Ok, sounds good." JC said as he also stood and kissed Kait, while the other ladies headed toward her room. It was no time to break a "special" moment. Besides, they barely got to see each other these days.

Kait joined us moments later. There was a total of 6 girls in her room. "Ok, ladies. Let's get this started. We can't take all day."

"Oh, you just want to get everyone out of here so you can have JC to yourself. We know you!" I laughed. The others grinned.

"Yeah, well I'm sure you don't want to be here all day." Kait said, while looking through the dresses on the bed. Renee was helping to hand out the dresses to who they belonged to.

"Well duh! Justin's back!" I exclaimed. Which made Kait and Sky laugh.

We all started to strip out of our clothes so we could try on our dresses. Renee was going from person to person helping us out, as was Kait. "Does everything fit ok?" She asked, as we all got zipped up.

"It's perfect." I said, while glancing at my reflection in the mirror. I loved what I saw. I absolutely loved her bridemaids gowns. They were navy blue in color and were very simply looking, but that just added to their elegance. They were all satin and v-necked and in the back the v-shape was very deep, stretching to the base of the back with a medium size bow right at the bottom and a tiny train was cascading down from the base of the bow. It was gorgeous. I was standing there in the mirror admiring myself for what seemed like forever. I couldn't wait until the day I got to plan out all of this stuff and have my best friends be my bridesmaids and I would be the one in that white dress. The only change is, the flowers and dresses would have to be a light babyblue for mine, haha. It's too soon to be thinking of that kind of stuff.

"Hey Jo, are you ok?" Sky asked, as she walked into the large walk-in closet and stood beside me. She was already changed back into her regular clothes.

I shook my head, as if to clear my thoughts. "Uh, yeah, I'm alright. I love this dress."

"Oh, so do I." Sky said, while looking at my reflection with me.

A few moments passed with us in silence. This must seem weird to some, but we were lost in our thoughts again. When I looked over to Sky a few moments later, we both had tears in our eyes. I did the first thing that seemed natural to me and embraced her as I felt her warm tears fall to my shoulder. We haven't had a close moment like this for a long time.

"What's wrong Sky?" I asked, as I pulled back to look in her eyes.

Her mascara was making long, black lines down her face. She looked tired and depressed at the same time. I had never seen her like this, but maybe it was my lack of being there for her as a friend that was making her this way. She wiped her eyes and spoke up, "I think we should be getting out there. All the other girls are already dressed and downstairs. We don't want them to think something is wrong." She said as she reached for the door handle. I pulled her back.

"Listen, I'm not going to let you go until you tell me what's wrong. We need to talk Sky. I know I haven't been a very good friend lately. Actually I've been no friend at all compared to how I used to be, but I want to be here for you now and I want to listen to what you have to say." I said as more tears escaped my eyes. She reached a hand up and wiped a few away before they hit the dress.

"I actually should say ditto at this point because I haven't been a good friend either, or a good fiancé for that matter." She said, as her face fell and her gaze met the floor. I could tell she was sobbing.

"Sky, what's going on?" I asked.

She let her breathing come back to normal before responding, "I don't know if this wedding is going to happen. Mine, I mean. Lance and I have grown apart and barely even exchange a glance let alone much else and I don't think I can commit to a marriage like this when we don't get to see each other now as it is. It was much easier in the beginning. Our group wasn't that famous. We had more time to ourselves. Everything was fine, but I don't get to see him anymore or talk to him and I just miss him. Maybe not as a lover anymore, but definitely as a friend."

"Oh, I see. Well maybe we could talk to Johnny about that and he can try to do something about it, so our schedule isn't so hectic. I mean, we can't work 24-7 and maybe we could have a long break because it is obvious we need one and I doubt we'll be able to work to our best ability when we are like this. He should help with that. Besides that, I don't know what to say. I'm kind of shocked that you are thinking of breaking it off, but I think after you two spend some time together, you'll connect instantly and that bond will be there again and it'll be back on. You just need some time." I said.

"Yeah, I guess so. Thanks." She said, as she wiped her eyes a final time. The talk did seem to help. "Now, what's wrong on your end?"

I took a breath and then answered, "Well, Justin and I are doing fine now and everything but I'm tired of always wondering if he'll be here. I mean, I have the same worries that you have now. What if we do grow apart? What if he wants to go back to Britney again? What if I'm not good enough? Are we going to get married? Man, I want to get married, but I don't want to rush him into anything that he's not ready for. I just cannot put this dress on and look at Kait in hers without envisioning myself in her shoes and I want that. I want what she has with JC because after this long, they still love each other. There was never any bullshit. They have just had this strong bond that has kept them together no matter how long they are apart. I want that to be how it is for Justin and Me."

"I do too. I guess it's just that I have cold feet or something, but I want to know that that bond is there before I go and say "I do" because I don't want there to be any regrets whatsoever." Sky said.

"Yeah." I nodded.

We stood there for a few moments longer. "Well, I guess it's time I get I get out of this dress and get my clothes back on. Thanks for talking with me though. We’re gonna have to have some of these talks more often. Our own little girl’s night in, or something…with lots of Ben & Jerry’s." I said, as we both chuckled.

*~That night~*

Justin and I were seated comfortably on my couch, occasionally watching Scary Movie and occasionally stealing a kiss. I was glad to be back in his arms though. A few moments later, there was a knock at my door.

I hopped up and looked through the peephole, but all I could see was blonde hair in a ponytail. I opened the door and there was Britney.

"Hey girl! What are you up to?" She asked, while stealing a glance over my shoulder, which I noticed.

She knows he’s here. I know it. "Not too much. What do you need?"

"Um, I was wondering if you….uh, if you….if you had Kait’s address. I want to send her something before the wedding and I don’t have it. So, could you give it to me?" She asked.

I knew she was lying. It was that pause at the beginning that gave her away. "Yeah, I will. Come on in and I’ll get it for you." I said as I opened the door a little wider for her to get in. It was exactly what she wanted too. I knew I shouldn’t do it, but I couldn’t just let her out there. As soon as the door was shut, I heard Justin.

"Hey Jo, who was that?" He called, from his place on the couch.

"Oh, it’s just Britney. She’ll be leaving shortly." I said, as I led her to the kitchen. Or at least I thought I did. She didn’t follow me, she followed his voice and went into the living room. Oh great….I wrote down Kait’s address real quick on a little sticky note pad and headed into the living room with it, where I found Britney with the biggest smile on her face and she was talking like there was no tomorrow. Justin was sitting there looking bored as hell, and when he saw me coming back, he actually smiled. I smiled back.

"Ok, Britney. Here’s her address." I said as I handed it to her.

"Oh, thank you so much. Hey, I’ll see you later Justin!" She said, as she bounced up from the couch and headed toward the door.

"I’ll let you out." I said, as I followed her.

"Oh there’s no need. I know the way."

"Sure, it’s my house. I’ll let you out." I reiterated as we both walked to the door in silence. I opened the door for her.

She walked out and then turned toward me, "You may think you have him now, but he’ll want me again and he’ll be back. You just watch. He still loves me."

Oh, the nerve of this little bitch. She hadn’t changed…much. "Yeah, it really shows. And that’s why he was rolling his eyes the entire time you were talking to him. Whatever. Have a nice night." I said, as I closed the door in her face.
