On the drive over to Hailey's, Justin contemplated whether or not he was doing the right thing. He ended up being extremely nervous cause he didn't know how he'd be able to do it or whether she'd accept his apology or not.
When he got there, he walked up and reached for the door, his sweaty palms shaking with each movement. The house looked dark from outside. He opened the door and stepped inside. Then, he saw the light penetrating from beneath the door to her room.
By this time his heart was racing, then she spoke.
"JC, is that you? I'm in the bathroom. I have some interesting news to tell you. Well, actually I don't have to tell you. Just push the "play" button on the answering machine."-Hailey called from her bathroom.
Her bathroom was attached to her room and the door was slightly ajar, so he just did as she instructed as not to seem suspicious.
As soon as he hit the "play" button, the voice of the doctor Hailey had seen, filled the room.
"Hello Hailey, this is Dr. Stahle. I saw you at the clinic the other day. Well, I called to let you know the results and they're positive. You're gonna be a mother in about 6 months. Congratulations!"-Then the message ended. By the end of the message, Justin had tears in his eyes.
"Did you hear that JC? You're gonna be an uncle! Now I just have to figure out how to tell Justin."-Hailey called from the bathroom.
Justin stood at the bathroom door.-"You already did."
Hailey looked up at the sound of his voice. She noticed a tear fall from his face. She hugged her knees and looked away from him as her eyes welled-up.-"Well, what do you plan on doing?" Justin knelt on the floor by her.
"I wanna be with you again if you'll let me. I miss being with you and I don't wanna throw it all away especially now."-Justin.
"Well, don't just feel you have to commit to me b/c I'm pregnant."-Hailey.
"I'm not. I love you. I want you back, please. I wanna be with you and here when you need me b/c these last few months have sucked."-Justin.
"I never thought you'd stay away that long."-Hailey.
"Well, that day kept repeating in my mind and I thought that you hated me, but I'm sorry I wasn't here for you."-Justin.
"I never hated you. I was just disappointed that you felt that way and I'm sorry you felt like that. I should have been with you and gave more to the relationship."-Hailey.
"It wasn't all you're fault. I was just being a jerk."-Justin.
"Are we gonna be together now, or what?"-Hailey.
"It's up to you. I hope so."-Justin.
"I never wanted it to be over. Well, since you're here, can you go bring me my PJ's from my bed? I'd appreciate it."-Hailey.
"Sure."-Justin walked out and brought her her PJ's. By the time he returned, she was wrapped in a towel.
"Thanks."-She got dressed while he waited in her room.
She walked out a few minutes later. "So, do I look pregnant or what?"-Hailey asked him as she stood by the bathroom door sideways, so he could see her silhouette.
"You look beautiful."-Justin.
"Oh, I know you're lying, I have been eating everything in sight, stretchmarks are appearing, and the swollen ankles occasionally occur. And I don't feel beautiful, plus what Alexis said."-Hailey said as she walked over to the bed and laid down. Justin was beside her.
"You are beautiful to me. What'd Alexis say?"-Justin.
"She basically said I was fat, but I told her she didn't understand."-Hailey.
"You guys are still fighting, huh?"-Justin.
"Yeah. She just won't give up. I tried to fix it, but she wouldn't pay attention."-Hailey.
Just then, the phone rang. "Hello."-Justin.
"Hey. Can I talk to Hailey."-JC.
"Yeah hold on."-Justin held the phone out to Hailey.-"Overprotective bro' line 1."-Justin said with a smile. She just giggled.
"Hey, tell him I heard that! Little boy's gonna get it."-which cause Hailey to go into another fit of laughter.-"So everything's OK?"-JC.
"Yeah. Peachy keen."-Hailey.
"That's good. Well, I guess I'll be housesitting for while. Tell Justin I'll be taking his Roadster for a spin, and there'll be a huge party her around 9. Well, I gotta go, the car's calling me."-JC.
"OK. C-Ya."-Hailey said as she hung up.
"JC says he's gonna take the Roadster for a spin and have a huge party at your place since he's housesitting."-Hailey.
"Uh, he better not take my car, and whose house does he think that is? I don't think so."-Justin.
"Oh geez. Calm down, what's the worst that can happen with JC?"-Hailey.
"Yeah. I guess you're right."-Justin.
"I'm really tired."-Hailey said with a yawn.
"Mind if I stay?"-Justin.
"Nah, that's ok."-Hailey said as she turned off the light and cuddled under the covers. Justin laid beside her put his arm around her. "I missed this."-Justin.
"Me too."-Hailey said as she fell asleep.
*Justin's place*
JC called up Joey and the rest of the guys. They arrived around 10 minutes later. JC had all the food out in the kitchen and the music was jammin'.
"OK peoples, before you get too comfy, Justin probably won't be expecting this, so don't wreck the place that bad."-JC.
Joey had about 3 girls on each arm but Alexis was nowhere in sight. The house was filled to the rim when everyone had finally arrived.
