Real Witches DO NOT:
Hurt people physically, mentally, spiritually, or magickally.
Witches have taken an oath to help people, not hurt people. You are not a real witch if you hurt anybody.
Take illegal drugs. The laws of our country forbid illegal drug use; besides, illegal drugs mess up your body. Why bother?
Witches do go to the doctor when they are sick and follow the directions of the doctor for good health care. Witches do work magick to help people who are sick,
but they never ever use magick instead of good health medical care. They use magick with appropriate medical care.
Work black magick - thats those other guys. Real Witches know that whatever you do, whether in this world or in the magickal world,
come back to you three times. If you do bad stuff, you pay the price - and let me add, you will pay dearly.
Wiccans have a poem that goes: Ever mind the Rule of Three, what you do comes back to thee.
Fly in the sky on brooms. We buy cars and trucks and stay on the roads like everyone else.
If we feel the need to take to the skies we choose Delta, Northwestern, or American Airlines.
Eat babies. (Yuckie!) We LOVE babies. We want them to grow up big and strong and do good
things for people, like hopefully find a cure for AIDS, cancer, and the common cold.
Kill animals. (Or anything else for that matter). Real Witches love and honor animals. Animals are a part of spirit, just like people.
Witches are big pet-people. We have dogs, cats, gerbils, bunnies, et cetera, and they all live long, happy lives and see the vet regularly.
Tell fibs or big whopper lies.
We walk our talk, and know that a Witch is as good as his or her word.
Call themselves warlocks. The word warlock means truth-twister.
Whether you are a boy or a girl, the name remains the same, Wiccan or Witch.
Get into sexual perversions. Enough said on that strange area. We dont want to go there!
Drink or use blood in any way from animals, humans, themselves, or anything else.
How you like your steak has nothing to do with the craft.
Change their hair color in the blink of an eye.
We go to the store and buy hair dye to cover the gray just like your mother.
Steal or take part in any type of criminal behavior.
Pervert the symbols of any other religion, or
desecrate graves or statues. We honor the dead as well as the living.
Summon demons. We simply are not that dumb.
Believe in or otherwise worship Satan.
Believe in the Christian hell.
. Coerce or brainwash people to join us.
Use satanic symbols.
The witches pentacle, or five-point star one point up in a circle, represents the four elements and spirit.
The pentacle has nothing to with Satanism, and witches get very, very upset with
people who match the point up star pentacle with Satanism.
Have to go through an initiation ceremony to practice the craft
Become witches overnight. It requires a lot of time and study to become a witch.
Wear all black all the time. Being a witch is not a fashion statement or the trendy thing to do.
Wear normal clothes, and maybe a pentacle necklace or earring. If you wear black pretty much all the time,
do so because its how you feel comfortable, not to
try and frighten people.
Attack people, but witches can and will defend themselves when necessary.
Gossip, tell lies, or hurt anyones feelings on purpose.
Charge money to work magick or pray from someone.
However, they may ask for reimbursement for supplies,
such as candles and oils.
Use magick or other skills to show off.
Abuse or mistreat animals in any way.
Real Witches DO:
Believe in many gods and goddesses.
Honor all positive path religions. Witches do not
make fun of other religions, and we feel other
religions should not make fun of us.
Believe that we are all one.
Believe in prayer.
Follow certain laws. We sometimes call these laws the Ordains.
Believe in karma.
Realize that in order to make this world a better
place, we must live in harmony with others. To do
this, we work with positive energy.
Believe there are three parts to a person:
the physical, mental, and spiritual. We train ourselves to
work all three parts of ourselves in harmony as best we can.
Use common sense. Witches do not do dumb things like drinking and driving.
Know that thoughts are things. We are always very
careful about what we thing, whether we are
considering ourselves or someone else.
Know that power grows in direct proportion to
wisdom. We know that scaring people is not a wise way
to behave, and that we will lose, rather than gain
power if we use our magick to frighten someone.
Work alone, or with others, in a magick circle. We never bring jealousy, hatred, or anger into the magickal circle, as that would be disrespectful to spirit.
. Believe that there is no one right way to worship divinity. Everyone must find his or her own path.
We feel all positive religions are every bit as valid as ours, and visa versa.
