Devotion to Anubis

Step One: Ground and Center
Step Two: Cast your circle
Step Three: Sitting comfortably, go into your mind. See yourself standing inside a sandstone temple.
See the floor as being covered by a light purple mist that drifts slowly
and comfortably across your feet, leaving you with a peaceful sensation that courses through your entire being.
In the center of the temple, see a carved sandstone
pedestal, and see a black candle that has a glowing purple flame siting upon the center of it.
Chant softly and slowly, placing thought, feelng, and energy into the words:

"I have come in perfect love and perfect trust
I give my love and my power freely without expectations
I therefore call upon the powers of the Underworld To rise up and accept me as a son/daughter of the shadow realm.
I pray to Anubis, God of mummification Protector of Isis, Charioteer of the souls, And Ruler of
the Weighing of the Heart To see me and recognize me As both follower and friend.
So mote it be!"

Now visualize the purple mist on the floor slowly rising up and entering the flame of the candle.
See it glow with a radiance unequaled. See the flame take the shape of a jackal, the symbol of Anubis.
Visualize this figure of flame and mist slowly rising up and enter into your heart,
so that you yourself are glowing with the radiance of the purple flame and mist energy.
Keep this visualization as long as you can. When you are finished, say the following:

"I have respect, honor, and love. I consider those positive beings of the shadow realm to be friends and protectors, as well as spirit guides.
I thank thee Anubis, and all of yours for everything you have done, are doing, and will do for me.
Remember me as I shall remember you. So Mote it Be!"

Visualize yourself sitting quietly in the sandstone temple. When you lose the visualization,
gently bring yourself back to your normal state, then ground and center. It is done.
