Christian Kane
He was born in Dallas, Texas: if you thought you detected a small accent you're right. Christian and his family moved around a lot throughout the South before settling down in the small town of Norman, Oklahoma. Christian attended the University of Oklahoma where he had plans to major in Art History. But the acting bug bit, and rather than be tied to a desk, Christian decided Hollywood was were he belonged. So Christian took his truck and his life savings of a few hundred dollars and headed to the City of Angels. Constant auditions allowed for a few jobs including mailroom clerk for a talent management agency. He didn't have to push mail for long, though. Christian's big break came in 1997 when he was cast as the male lead in a new show, "Fame L.A." based on the hit movie and 80's TV show. Christian's role as Ryan "Flyboy" Legget allowed him to act and sing. The show was canceled after 22 episodes but Christian was quickly snapped up for another leading role in Aaron Spelling's WB action series "Rescue 77." Christian played Wick Lobo, one of a trio of heroic characters -- emergency medical technicians. But due to mediocre ratings, the show was soon canceled. Not to be defeated, Kane was soon cast as a production assistant in "EdTV" starring Woody Harrelson as well as a made-for-TV Western called "Crossfire Trail" with Tom Selleck. Christian appeared in a flick with Freddie Prinze Jr and Marc Blucas titled "Summer Catch", which was released in spring 2001.
Did you like his singing (a song by David Greenwalt, believe it or not) in "Dead End"? Christian Kane is in his own band, called "Kane." They have just released their self-titled CD for purchase online.
