An interesting animè with a Vampire storyline. It's very cool, but the others here outweigh it (in my opinion). I will say that the movie was action-packed, and the storyline original. I think it was probably focusing on a male audience, just from the way the movie was designed, but then... there aren't all that many female animè fans out there! Basically, the town is plagued by Vampires, and a young girl, Doris, hires a Vampire hunter to help her save her village and little brother. She is kidnapped by Count Magnus Lee, and D's secret is revealed as his only means of saving Doris.

Akira has a semi-futuristic storyline with a very odd ending.. (I'm still confused!) but well worth watching. The motorcycle chase is hands-down the most action-filled scene, and definately my favorite. This one is not for those with weak stomachs, 'cause there is lots of blood, and lots of violence. Kaneda's childhood friend Tetsuo is experimented on with new psychic equiment, and Kaneda tries to rescue him with a group of his friends. Together, they run into several misfortunes, but share some good times as well when Kaneda meets a girl. When Kaneda reaches Tetsuo, he realizes that the psychic experiments have changed his friend...

Gundam Wing. Well, this one's not a movie... it's a series. A very long series, in fact. If you watch it through, it's pretty good, but it may bore you from time to time. Miliardo is hot!!! Brian Drummond is such an AWESOME voice actor! *dreamy sigh*... Err.. anyway... *cough.* Heero, a teen who was trained for battle seems totally coldhearted and emotionless throughout most of the series, as do several other main characters, until their past is revealed. Heero fails a mission and is discovered on the beach by Relena. She tries to help him, and he attempts to self-destruct (they do that a lot, too). They run in to each other frequently, but for short periods of time (do I sense a Batman copy there?). Ultimately, Relena's goal is total pacifism on Earth. Whether they succeed or not, I'll leave for you to find out =P

Gundam X looks awesome, but I haven't actually seen it yet, because it hasn't been released in many places in America yet. Garrod Ran is the main character, and a Gundam pilot. He meets a newtype psychic girl, Tiffa, and she falls in love with him. He seems to shun her, at first, probably out of confusion, but later she begins to grow on him. However, once he realizes he loves her, she seems to avoid him (talk about running in circles!). The only way her powers will work is when they're combined with his, and together, they must try to save the Earth from going through another destruction. Because of this, I believe it's meant as a continuation series to Gundam Wing. (Looks cool!)

Dragon Ball Z is very cool... a fighting-style animè with excellent artwork and details. My favorite character happens to be Vegeta, but Goku is the main character who's most focused upon throughout the series. Mostly, he has to save the world from incredibly great odds, which he usually overcomes. One of the unique things about the series, is that you watch the characters learn and grow. This may be boring once in a while, but it definately gets you attatched to the characters. The Cell Saga is the best I've seen so far, and the one I recommend you watch!

Yagyu Jubei was Japan's greatest swordsman. His skill was legendary but the one enemy he couldn't conquer was death. Before he died, though, he gave his disciple hope - there would be a successor, and this deserving person would receive all the power and skill of Yagyu Jubei, along with the Lovely Eyepatch. After 300 years of searching, the disciple finds Jiyu Nanohana, a rather ordinary girl who has just moved to a new town and started going to a new school. As if going to a new school weren't stressful enough, now Jiyu is told that she is heir to the legendary talents of Yagyu Jubei. And she will have to put those talents to good use and stop the assassins of the rival clan!

Ah! My Goddess is about the relationship between Morisato Keiichi, a student at Nekomi Institute of Technology (NIT) and the goddess Belldandy. The two are brought together after Keiichi got hungry one evening, and called out for some food. He dialed the wrong number and got the Relief Goddess Office by accident. From out of the mirror appears Belldandy, offering to grant Keiichi one wish "no matter what it is...". Keiichi, anxious over his difficulties in getting a girlfriend - he's a little short - wishes for someone to stay with him forever. Someone just like her. Belldandy innocently interprets this as Keiichi wishing for her to stay with him forever. Unfortunately, Keiichi lives in a men-only dorm, so he got thrown out when his sempai returned. Eventually he and Belldandy settle for an old temple... The show develops from this point, introducing more characters and generally being a very sweet and romantic, and often funny, anime.

Sailor Moon is an Anime about a klutzy, crybaby, 14-year-old junior high school girl named Serena/Usagi. She receives special powers from a talking cat named Luna. Her Powers help her in her quest to fight evil and to find the "Moon Princess". With a locket Luna gave her, Serena turns into the sailor suited "pretty soldier" Sailor Moon. Over time, she discovers other Sailor Scouts/Senshi and another cat Artemis, who join her as a team, called the Sailor Scouts/Senshi. She also runs into this guy named Darien/Mamoru and this a capped super hero named Tuxedo Mask/Tuxedo Kamen. Coincidentally enough, they happen to be the same person. Tuxedo Mask/Tuxedo Kamen appears constantly to save the Sailor Scouts/Senshi from the generals of the Negaverse/Dark Kingdom who, at first, begin stealing life energy out of people, then attempt to acquire the Imperium Silver Crystal/ginzuishou. At this point Sailor Moon learns about the Silver Millennium/Moon Kingdom.

Angel Sanctuary is my favorite of the listings here. The storyline is like nothing you've ever seen, and you'll never know what will happen next (unless you read an episode summary, or whatever)! Yuki Kaori is such a great artist! Her characters are lifelike and breathtaking. I'll readily admit that the storyline may be disturbing to some. It contains violence, and the two main characters fall in love.. which wouldn't be an issue, except that the two main characters are brother and sister. Their mother catches Setsuna kissing his younger sister (Sara) once, and, being a devout Catholic, decides to separate the children. The father takes Setsuna with him, and the mother takes Sara away. Later in the story, Setsuna and Sara reunite, only to have their hopes shattered, when Sara is killed. Setsuna takes drastic measures to get her back, and his best friend's soul ends up merged with that of Lucifer's. As I said, it's an extremely twisting plot.
