Zool, like it or not, is a brilliant classical character. Now forgotten in the whisps of time, this two-sworded, black alien ninja has been the base of most 2D platformers after it. All games were sponsered by Chupa Chups (A lollipop company) adn went on to sell extremely well. Later on, more characters were added such as Zooz, a young female ninja with a fire-whip. It's a shame that this great series has fallen into the shadows after only two games, but as long as it's remembered it will be revered as a hallmark in quality gaming.
ROAREYE!

The original Zool. It was an above average game due to the fun gameplay and the strange storyline. You were an alien ninja who had crash-landed in a world full of sweets and you had to escape. Why was this so popular?
Amiga

Zool 2 added two new characters (Zooz and Zoon the two-headed dog) to optimise it beyond the capabilities of it's predessecor. And it did very well.

The multicoloured spinning disc you needed to access the pass codes for the Amiga version of the game. This was implemented to stop pirate hackers sellign working copies of the game and, as you can see, the numbers have been darkened so that a scanner cannot show them clearly. A darker, blacker version of the original's, this one came with sprites of Zooz instead of Zool. Click on the image to the left to enlarge.
