Zool, like it or not, is a brilliant classical character. Now forgotten in the whisps of time, this two-sworded, black alien ninja has been the base of most 2D platformers after it. All games were sponsered by Chupa Chups (A lollipop company) adn went on to sell extremely well. Later on, more characters were added such as Zooz, a young female ninja with a fire-whip. It's a shame that this great series has fallen into the shadows after only two games, but as long as it's remembered it will be revered as a hallmark in quality gaming.
ROAREYE!

The original Zool. It was an above average game due to the fun gameplay and the strange storyline. You were an alien ninja who had crash-landed in a world full of sweets and you had to escape. Why was this so popular?

Zool was popular because of the masses of hidden secrets and great gameplay it had on offer. It was a well put-together game with bonuses left right and centre. The graphics are to good standard and the gameplay is good. This is an above average game with alot to find out.

Zool 2 added two new characters (Zooz and Zoon the two-headed dog) to optimise it beyond the capabilities of it's predessecor. And it did very well.

How can I rate this game? Awesome. It's simply breath-taking. The graphics are superb, the gameplay is excellent and the music is almost unbeatable! This was a very good seller and came out on almost all machines available at the time. This is one of the best and most memorable 2D platformers you can find!
