Dragon Island seems to be a very mountainous island. There were forests and streams on the island, and goats for food. When Eustace wandered off, he found perhaps the most important island resident, the dragon. This could well be the dragon whom the Lone Islanders were saved from if King Gale spared the dragon's life. This is the island where Lord Octesian was believed to have met his end.
