Every Friday afternoon I visit a close family friend for piano lessons. Right now I am in grade 4 in piano (not too far along the way), and I love to play. Sadly, this is the only after school extra-curricular activity that I am participating in right now. In school I am participating in choir, the basketball team, the "Together We're Better Team" and in class activities. I like to dance in my spare time, if you can call that an extra-activity! A few weeks ago i attended the "Together We're Better Conference" in Newmarket. Our school group was split up and sent to different classes. In my first class I learned how similar cultures really are, this was expressed in stories. In the other class we talked about rights and dependability. We were read "Roses In My Carpet".It was a story about a little boy who lives in Pakastein who makes carpet, he is the only boy in his family so he has to take care of his mother and little sister. The roses in his carpet and the colours are all symbols of life.
