º Chapter One º Chapter One - The Prophecy of Heaven and Hell. Late August seemed to have changed in the year of 1985, the moon was covered by clouds; and when it wasn’t; the moon would have an eerie bloodshot colored glow around it. A lady was going into labor, which sparked rumors of the possibility that the old town prophecy was actually true. It was a mild heat of about 70 degrees as the couple rushed to the hospital. The man was thirty-six, he had brown hair, brown eyes, and he was about six foot three inches’. He went by the name of Kalmori. The lady had blonde hair, blue eyes, and she was about five foot seven inches; thirty-five years of age. Her name was Kotorey. Ever since Voogie was born she had been different than any human, even the so-called 'freaks’. Voogie was born at 12:11:10 am, 666 seconds after midnight. Unexpectedly, another one was to be born 707 seconds after Voogie, which made it 12:22:47 am. Some say 222 is Heaven’s number and 666 is Hell’s number. Each of the twin baby’s had a symbol on their foreheads. Voogie was born with the symbol of ‘Death’ and Armitage was born with the symbol of ‘Destruction’. Strange thing is; Voogie and Armitage looked nothing alike. Armitage looked more like their mortal mother, blonde hair, blue eyes, though, she did have shoulder blade scars where wings once fluttered, just like Voogie. Voogie was more like the legendary Hell Goddess, Makai Megami. She had fangs, scars where wings once fluttered, a devil’s tail, pitch black eyes at birth, the symbol of Death imprinted on her forehead, red tinted hair, plus she was born 666 seconds after midnight on a full moon. Why people went to extreme measures of trying to prove Voogie was the devil’s child no one really knows. Some say her pitch black eyes and devil's tail did the trick, and they are probably right. A prophecy foretold about two children. One was sent by Hell, only to be distinguished by time of birth and the symbol of Death on her or his forehead. The other was sent from Heaven, the symbol of Destruction imprinted on her or his forehead for she or he was to take out the Hell Spawn. Though, the prophecy told of a loop whole, “A day to fear or a day to cherish? The date of August 28th, 1985 could begin the end of this world as we know it. Two children will be born, one a Spawn of Hell and the other of Heaven. The Middle World will become Heaven and Hell’s battle arena. From here on the Earth’s fate have two possibilities. “First fate.) If the first child is born as a still born, then the Heaven’s had succeeded. Their warrior had found the Hell Spawn and taken out any chance for the Hell Spawn’s survival. The mother may be killed in this process but it will be a sacrifice well worth. Heaven’s warrior will be safely born 707 seconds afterward. She or he will take on her or his mother’s attributes and carry on as a mortal, secretly Earth’s protector. Second Fate.) Though, if the first child to be born is well alive, Heaven’s warrior was not prepared. For Heaven’s warrior fell upon the small child and blessed it with mercy. While the Angel warrior slept, Hell’s Demon was up to no good. Both Heaven and Hell know that if the Demon was born alive the Angel would follow, as a loyal sister or brother; she or he would stay as the Demon’s shadow, repeating everything. Side by side the sisters or brothers will wreak mayhem and destruction upon the Earth, bringing it to its end.” Sounds of terror and sounds of fright filled the room as the first child was born, completely alive, a healthy baby girl, black eyes, a devil’s tail, and the symbol of Death; brimming a garnet color upon the small child’s forehead. Dreading the fact the next small child was to be born, most people fled the building before the children were even named. As the prophecy foretold, the second child was born 707 seconds after Voogie. Her forehead had a faint light gray glow to it, outlining the symbol of Destruction. As if the mother had known all along she pointed to the first born, “Voogie…”, then, shifting her head to the second born, she softly spoke, “Armitage…” The hospital wanted nothing to do with neither the twins nor their family, so they did a rough job with the children, cleaning them up a little and clearing their breathing passages enough for them to survive, for no matter what they would survive. Neither Heaven nor Hell was going to let their warrior die so soon. The hospital packed them up and sent them home within a few hours as soon as they were able to medicate the mother. After the parents had tucked the two into bed a dark and evil voice spoke from beyond the shadows, the figure finally appearing in the shadows and stepping closer to Voogie as he spoke, “It is time to rise my dark savior, my friend. Claim what is rightfully Hell’s; deprive the humans of this earth. Do what you must to build our new empire, feed off the fear from the souls around you. You mustn’t fail us, Project 059. The Devils and Demons of Hell are relying on you, 059. Imprison the Angels if you must, just do not fail us.” Armitage shifted in her sleep, not waking yet. Darbracken looked over at the second small child and put a sleep spell on her, not harming her for he knew she was going to help with Hell’s rising power. A ghost like figure arose from the small child. Giving a faint smirk; the grown figure of Voogie looked at the shadowed-over figure, “Darbracken, I haven’t forgotten my mission; and I am to be referred to as Voogie or Mekaze. You needn’t worry; Hell’s fait is in my hands.” A faint growl came from Darbracken, he ignored the name situation for the time being, “And Hell’s warriors have failed before. Do not forget Moonlight; my sister, and Frosty; the leader of Heaven will do anything to meet your destruction.” The spirit gave a small nod, “As long as Hell’s Demons and my fellow Devils are here to aid me in my time of need I promise not to fail Hell.” Darbracken nodded, slowly heading back into the shadows, “I believe you. Rest well, 059.” The older spirit of Voogie faded back into the small child, still offended at the fact that Darbracken calls her ‘059’ instead of Voogie or Mekaze. All were still sleeping as if they never heard anything, luckily. As babies, Voogie and Armitage refused to eat. Kotorey and Kalmori eventually gave up on them; leaving the twins in the woods for they couldn't live with the fact they would be murderers if they ended the children’s lives so soon. A clan of vampires, the Satsubatsu's, stumbled upon the small children. Turns out, Kotorey had an affair with the leader of the Satsubatsu's, Zetsumei Tatsujin. Zetsu approached the young children, a grin creeping in from the corners of his face as he saw the black, backward, crescent moons on each of Voogie's wrists appeared. Armitage faded from Zetsu’s eye sight as his wife called her to her hands. The crescent moons began to glow with an eerie bloodshot color as Zetsu's wife, Makai Megami, stepped forward and toward the small child, already holding Armitage in her arms. Armitage giggled softly, reaching out for her twin as a faint crescent moon appeared on her right wrist. For the first time in weeks Voogie's stomach growled and cried out for food. Makai bent down, picking up the small child and wrapping her wings around her, making a bottle of blood appear, slowly feeding it to the small child, "There you go, little one. Eat up. Everything was going great for Voogie. She may have been different from the other vampires; but she finally belonged somewhere. Armitage was getting along well with her new life. No one could really tell she was one of Heaven’s warriors. Her father trained her daily, but she was only five, so he started her off with a simple Demonic Dagger that had been his when he was younger. His father was rough on him for the simple fact he was an extremely small boy for his age. Zetsu and Makai had a strong feeling about Voogie, her blood was black like a true vampire's, a twin she could fuse with, Armitage, a devil's tail signaling she was a true demon, and she could also use telekinesis. Armitage didn’t differ much when it came to strength and abilities. She could use telepathy, the ability to fuse with Voogie, though; her blood was red like a mortal’s blood. Most vampires followed behind her, sensing her tremendous power and excellent leadership skills. Unfortunate for her, a group of vampire hunters found the Satsubatsu clan before her turn to be leader came. One by one Voogie watched helplessly as her clan was slaughtered mercilessly, blood everywhere, even covering Voogie in a thick, dark, blood-red coat. Makai picked up Voogie and Armitage, immediately fleeing as Zetsu fought off the hunters. He returned an hour later, his eyes red in both fear and anger. He grabbed Armitage, yelling at her in pure fury, blaming her for the hunter's attack. Instinctively, Voogie slid out her Demonic Dagger, piercing completely through her dad's arm, bones, tendons, muscles, everything. Roaring in pain and flipping back, he dropped Armitage, his eyes wide in fear, "Voogie-hime! There was no need for that!" Voogie's mother stepped forward, reaching for Armitage but was quickly thrown back against a wall. Piercing Makai's skin was tough for her father's sword, Chishio, but he completely impaled her through the gut. Makai's screams of pain rang in the children's ears. Armitage stood behind Voogie, knowing she would be nothing more than a mere shadow of Voogie to her father, never mounting to Voogie's power in any way. Looking at the little ones, Makai cried in pain and fear of their lives, "My little ones… please… lea-- leave. Voogz, take care of Armi for me. Goodbye girls, mommy will miss you…” Voogie screamed in pain, knowing what just happened to her mother. Her father looked at her, growling lowly, "Voogie-hime!? See what you did to mommy!? You killed her! You told the hunters about us!" Armitage growled in anger, knowing it wasn't true, and slowly began to seep into Voogie's back to begin the transformation to SenmetsuTsuin, the annihilation twin. Realizing the fusion, Zestu quickly ran forward, separating the two children. They both screamed in pain, being separated from each other in an unusual way. Standing up, Voogie turned to face Armitage, they looked at each other in the eyes, sadly nodding goodbyes as Armitage held off Zetsu and Voogie fled. During her escape, Voogie came across a Dark Forest, quickly climbing a tree, her body and eyes trembling, everything repeating itself in her head as she fell asleep.
