I heard a bird cry in the stillness
Such a lonely cry
It echoed inside my head
Calling out- hear me!
Filling me,
Entwining with the cry of my heart
Dancing, twirling,
Blending, melding
Until it is mine
One cry in the stillness
Broken
Alone
My child is gone …
