Ain't nothin' better than good smelling oils, a salt scrub, and a shave so close your legs feel softer than silk. If anything else, that alone has made my day wonderful. ;-D

I learned how to do pictures in the darkroom today! My roommate is awesome and showed me lots of stuff. We took the negatives from the beach trip (Click here) and developed them using filters and stuff... so I'm not a pro yet, but I'm getting there. ;-) Thanks Lorie! You're the best! Muah!

Mmmmmm.... Today has been such a lazy day. I haven't really done anything at all, and usually I would be bored by now, but I'm completely content.

I know this has absolutely nothing to do with anything, and probably won't be of interest to anyone, but this morning I painted my toe nails... something I rarely ever do. They are now a deep sparkly red, and I must say, I did a pretty good job.

So that's been my day... I can't remember the last time I was so content with nail polish and doing nothing, but today I am. I have psychology of personality tonight, which is always interesting. Hope the rest of the week is as good as today was...

This past week has been delightful... that's all I am going to say about that. ;-)

As for the weekend... Saturday rocked... I woke up, took my mom to an art gallery and to a Brazilian café, and then after that, I went kayaking, cooked dinner, and then got in the hot tub... I have a TON of bruises on my legs and arms though. My kayak was high on the wall above my dad's work bench in the garage, and it took all the strength I had to get it down... when I finally did, I ended up eating the concrete and getting knocked around by my kayak. Then, I got to the lake and there were a lot of construction workers, so I didn't stay for very long... but I still had a good time.

As for today... it was ok... I woke up wayyyy too early so I could stain my bedframe, and then couldn't do it because the humidity was too high... So... I don't really remember what I did between the hours of 8 and noon. It's all just kind of a blur. But, on my way back to Huntsville, I did find this rockin' art supply store... it's on Montrose between Westheimer and West Gray. They have EVERYTHING. I've sort of started to get an idea of what I want to do for the painting in my dining room. I found this canvas that is like 6X4 feet... I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to do on it, but I'm thinking a big painting would be awesome. If anyone has any ideas... lemme know, k? (AIM: BadCatSatOnAMat)

Also, I have had a craving to do something crazy and completely off the wall and exciting (even something illegal, if the consequences aren't too bad), basically anything that will give me a rush. So if you have any thoughts on something I could do to fulfill my craving, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Much love to all... muah!

"Nothing is so good as it seems beforehand." -George Eliot

Ever have days where nothing satiates your appetite and everything just seems to go, well, wrong?

Seems like today is just one of those days today... nothing I eat tastes as good as its smell or appearance would make me believe, I can't seem to get the shower at the right temperature, and this weather sure isn't making it much better... I just wish it would get hot already. And to top it off, I had a horrible lab grade for today, thanks to my stupidity and carelessness. *Sighs*

So I was looking at this quotes website and found some that I really liked...

"When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us." -Alexander Graham Bell

"Only that in you which is me can hear what I'm saying." -Baba Ram Dass

"Men seldom give pleasure where they are not pleased themselves." - Samuel Johnson

So I finally have time to start keeping up my journal again...

I am sooooo tired! It's 7:40 and already I am about to go to bed. Going to bed at 5:30 am and waking up at 10 will do that to you. Or at least it does it to me. Just need to clear all of my clothes off of it first... I've been so messy lately, and I know Lorie is about to kill me because of it, but I just can't seem to get with the program.

Last night was really good... went to the Engine Room and heard some great bands (Isola, Red Sky, and Overshot)... to anyone who hasn't heard Isola, check them out, and if you haven't heard Overshot, I especially encourage you to go see them, they were incredible!

Also... if you live in Huntsville or are in Huntsville and decide to go to Quizno's, stay away from the clam chowder. Just trust me on that one.

Hey guys, sorry I've been so lazy about posting things, I haven't had much time lately. BUT, I did post some new poetry. It is not under the Musings section because I am too lazy to convert it to my own handwriting, so you will have to go here and read it in plain font.
