~*Never Again...*~

This is a dedication to those who were falsely accused and burned. These people should be honored and were strong enough in their beliefs to take it all the way to the end. Common folk believed that all types of witchcraft were evil and refused to see the truth. At this period in history, it is believed that over 9 miilion people were burned alive at the hands of ignorant common folk. Most people weren't even accusing witches of existing for the safety of their children but for their own personal greed. You see, if a person was found guilty of being a witch or "wizard" (as they called them) the lands and possessions of the accused person went to the accuser and a small portion went to the town. Cruel actions and moranic accusations ruled this era. Now, here at the ~*~Hidden Magick~*~ page, we honor the people that stood up for the rights of religious minorities everywhere. It will be updated as new people are brought to light and honored.

A teenage girl killed herself after she was bullied at school over her belief in witchcraft.
Laura Pendall, 14, hanged herself at her home in Keysoe near Bedford after she was taunted by a gang known as the "Popular Group." The inquest at Bedord was told that pupils at Sharnbrook Upper School had taunted Laura with chants of "Burn the witch!" and "Ding Dong, the witch is dead!".
She was found dead in her bedroom last December by her mother Liz. A note was found saying she loved her parents.
