Light a Candle for Tempest
This page is dedicated to the memory of Tempest Smith, a young Pagan who was persecuted for her beliefs to the point of suicide.
I often find my thoughts turning to this young woman, and mourn for her Spirit that was so tortured. I am saddened by the ignorance and cruelty of her persecutors, and am baffled by their utter lack of compassion. I can only hope that her unfortunate death can serve as an example for others, to always practice tolerance and understanding. While it is human nature to fear the unknown, through learning and bravery that fear can be reduced, and eventually alleviated.
