Death Angel

I saw her in a guided meditation once that was greatly influenced by music that was playing at the time. If memory serves, the song was "Call of Cthulu" by Metallica. I saw this angel swooping over a Roman-esque collesium, filled with screaming people who ducked to remove themselves from her path. The whole experience was very violent and a bit disturbing. I had to get her image out of my mind.



Sam
This piece is named for my Beloved, for he is Dragon. It's an attempt to copy the dragon he always draws, and he told me I got close here.



Welcoming
I don't remember the inspiraton for this one, all I am sure of is that I really like the way it turned out, especially the colors in sunrise.



Dream Owl
This is a creature I envision for a story idea I have. It's sort of like a photo negative of a snowy owl I suppose.



Evantarin, Adept of Light
I drew this after reading Gate of Darkness, Circle of Light by Tanya Huff (just about my favorite fantasy author). Evantarin is an angel of sorts, described as "a heavy metal wet dream" in the book, and he has extreme sexual magnetism that affects anyone of either gender. He explains that it is a desire to be closer to the Light, to goodness itself. Naturally, I had to draw him.



Eyes
This was more for fun than anything else. They're similar to my eyes, although not quite the same.



Over at the Frankenstein Place
Inspired by "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and one of my favorite songs from it, that bears the same name as this piece. Another fun one.



Cat
Not intended to be a portrait of Sam's cat, Pizza, but it looks similar to her anyway.



Expectant
A foreshadowing of love, passion, desire, emotion. Inspired, of course, by my Beloved.



Embrace
This one is too inspired by Sam, but also paritally by "The Dolphin's Cry" by Live and "The Lovers" card from The Londa Tarot. I wanted the waves to be evidence of the intensity of passion, but the expression on the woman's face was meant to counter that by appearing serene and purely joyful. I think I pulled it off.



Hearthsong
An impression of my Grove, with each of us represented by our animal spirits (or totems, if you will). It is somewhat incomplete now, as there are more children and another member, but I decided to leave it as I drew it originally.



PentaQuarter
An expression of faith. It took me a long time to draw, much erasing going on there.



Spirit
This is what I believe my true Spirit looks like. My Guide is the Scorpion-tailed Lioness, and Her Spirit is Morgan, the Unicorn. Many layers, many facets...
