When you pray either at the temple or with your prayer necklace outside you have many options.
The first of which is to pray in fellowship with another Aisling or alone. If you choose to pray with someone else you are asked to choose someone "Well liked" by Fiosachd".Fiosachd loves all Aislings, of course, but the ones He likes best are either other followers of Himself or those who worship the Gods He has selected as allies. If you have forgotten who these are, run back to our last page... *smiles* It is well known that praying with an assistant increases the power of the prayer and therefore gives you a better result but this is not always possible.
Once you have decided how you will pray, the next selection you must make is what to pray for. You have a number of options here as well.
Let's look at these a little closer... Supplicate
Entreat
Seek Guidance
Give Thanks
Praise AnotherSupplicate: This is asking for a boon from Fiosachd. It requires little faith to muster up and the result is equally small. This is best for short term miracles or if you are trying to save faith.
Entreat: This is asking for a grander boon from Fiosachd. It requires more faith than a supplication, but the result is equally grander. This is better if you need your miracle to last a bit longer.
Seek Guidance: This is asking Fiosachd for a little piece of His wisdom. Being the rogue he is, it may be beneficial but then again it may sound like a pre-written scrap of meaningless drivel.
Give Thanks: This is what the faithful worshippers should be doing a lot of. This will use a day of your labor but not only does it give some insight to prostrate yourself in gratitude to God, but it will increase your faith in Him.
Praise Another: This will use a day of your labor, as if you were to Give Thanks yourself but instead you use it to give thanks to Fiosachd for another Aisling. This will increase their faith but they will achieve no insight from it.The majority of those are pretty straight forward, but if you select to ask Fiosachd for a boon the options vary again. Regardless of whether you supplicate or entreat the miracles are identical, the only difference being the power of the prayer as explained above.
Blind
Veil Group
Bless Group
Confuse
Charm
Find Wealth
Songs of the ShrineThe majority of these are best done with your prayer necklace as they are a "Spur of the moment" kind of blessing, others can be done equally as well at the Temple. We'll explore them one by one.
Blind: Allegedly this will blind all creatures within your line of vision, but I have never seen it work. Ah, Fiosachd as they say, "Sometimes deceptive." ((read: Doesn't work.))
Veil Group: This miracle will make you and your party all but invisible, hidden in the shadows of the rogue and away from the eyes of hostile creatures and Aislings.
Bless Group: This miracle will enhance your swiftness in battle making your weapons flash through the hair and allowing you to hit your target more often. ((+40 to hit))
Confuse: Allegedly this will confuse all the creatures in your line of vision making them forget what they were doing. (I.e. attacking you.)
Charm: This will take a hostile creature and turn them into an ally so they will fight beside you not against you.
Find Wealth: This is the miracle we are most famous for. This will split your coins and double (or more) the amount making you absurdly rich if you use it often.
Songs of the Shrine: This will drop into your possession arcane scrolls that will magickally transport you to the entrance of Abel.
