Nightmares started out as a idea I had with just a cast of 3 characters. Alot of the ideas in nightmares came from horror movies I had seen, and then I thought hey, it would be great to have an rpg for rpg maker for psone.
I wanted it to be like you were in the movies, it would have that feeling that danger could lurk in every corner, then I thought why not spoof movies, books, and ohter horror movies and make it funny too.
Well I sat and did some thinking while watching stephen kings it, and nightmare on elmstreet series on dvd I bought and that is where this idea came from. It just kinda crept out of nowhere like freddy Krueger.
Next came the cast, I wanted a cast in which you had all your different personalities, but they all had one thing in common.

Each character was afraid of something and something wants them dead. Something is getting into their nightmares and making it a reality,but who is it or what is it?
The answer to that question is quite simple if you watched enough horror movies or what not, but could it be someting worse? Nah, well maybe but I doubt it.
Among the cast you have a kid whose parents don't understand him, a girl who has a gift,but it give her the willies, and to top it off her parents thinks she need psychiatric care.
A stoner who is into video games, a martial arts wanna be who is picked on by bullies at school, and a few others. 6-8 characters in all.
The game will be 3 parts long.part 1 is the first 3 cast members, second the rest of the cast and continue of the story, and the third part the finale. There are multiple endings, death scenes,in order to play part 2 you will need a password from part 1.
part 2 is not done, and part 1 is in the process of being done. right now the demo is only available.
I hope you give this game a try,just be patient I am doing it in parts, and when it is fully done you will get a packaged with all three parts, and some bonus material.
So what you waiting for, play the demo till part 1 is fully done and enjoy it.
Another thing about nightmares you may recognize is familar parodies of other things, and text references to other movies, books and such. I made a game within a weird al world in a sense. Hopefully no one has combined horror,survival, and parodies the way I did if a game like it exists oh well it may not be unique but hey being the second is better than being the last lol.
