This was the first cd that I picked up by New Found Glory and I took the bait, hook line and sinker. This c.d flat out rocks. With a blend of punk and pure pop New Found Glory pulls this cd off quite well. The c.d is more or less a tale of love, deception, and living it life the way you want. The first couple songs of the c.d, namely Better Off Dead and Dressed to Kill are straight out "I Got Dumped" songs and damn do they sound great. Dressed to Kill was the first big single that NFG had and it wasn't even big, go figure but this song is easy to relate to. Sincerely Me is my favorite song off the c.d and with good reason, witty and heartfelt lyrics combine to let lead singer Jordan pour his heart out to (insert name here). Hit or Miss, the second single is a reminiscent song to a girl (yet again) letting her know of all the fun they had and how she should come back to him. The next song Second to Last isn't a great song but is all right for a middle track, the girl theme continues. What I take from the next song is a guy comes home from wherever only to find that his true love has moved on to bigger and better things, Eyesore is a cool ballad to hopeless romantics who always end up being hurt in the end. Vegas, this song is cool and kind of prepares you for the next song (which is quite awesome) but I don't enjoy it THAT much. Now we get to Sucker. This song is what the c.ds all about, love. This songs lyrics are just awesome, "music is low, we're alone, being wrong never felt so right." The question is constantly posed "Tell me about your first kiss" but of course everyone knows, never kiss and tell. Black and Blue is kind of a bland song that I sometimes skip over and can't say much about. Boy Crazy is quite possibly the most factual song on the whole c.d. The intro to this song has a guy hit on a girl and get shot down and then the music starts to jam. Maybe a sort of soul searching song where independence from love is finally brought forward and helps to realize that women aren't everything. "This song goes out to girls that we havent met just yet, This songs for stupid girls who think that every boy is all about them." All About Her sets you up for the big finish, Ballad for the Lost Romantics. This song is of course for the Lost Romantics who always get screwed over in the end, "heres to us fools who have no meaning." Overall I love this c.d, its my first New Found Glory experience and it was a good one.
