Fluffy white curtains,
falling in slow motion
The airy blue backdrop
dissapears in shame.
Darkness consumes the theatre,
flowing across the seats like a black plague.
The ignorant evade its touch,
the omniscient embrace it.
Spotlights illuminate the panic,
a smokescreen to the chaos.
I stand on the stage,
trying to avoid the light.
I chase the darkness;
a futile effort to understand.
The symphony employs their score,
dictating life's pace.
I dive toward the darkness,
but only end up back on stage.
