The Lord of the Rings

The Two Towers is out now, of course. It's beautiful, absolutely beautiful. If you haven't seen it yet go NOW!! Don't finish reading this page. Go find out when it plays next near you and GO WATCH IT!! Right now, I've seen it four times and i do hope to see it more. It's worth it. Also, I'm on Chapter X in the book right now. The movie only does part of the book and in a strange order so I'm not sure what I'm planning to do in terms of reading further. In a way I'm already past the movie but in a way I'm not at all. ARGH. I'll figure it out.
In the meantime, I shall start searching for appropriate pictures from Two Towers to throw up here. Oh and, by the way, I am now finally calling him Aragorn and not Strider . . .
These are my Lord of the Rings pages. Please be patient, there are quite a few pictures that may take a little bit to load.
I had been meaning to read the books for years, but I was never able to get around to it. Once I heard of the movies coming out, though, I knew I would finally be able to make an excuse to buy the books *grin* One really weird thing has happened though, I decided that I am going to wait for each movie to come out before I read the book for it. I really hate it when people do that and now, here I am doing the same thing. Sigh. So, this page is from the point of view of a newbie to the culture and someone who did not and has not watched the movies to compare them to the books.

Strider, of course, is my favorite character but, I actually have a strange story to tell along these lines. Back at the end of October I was looking for a quote to put on a good luck card for a friend and I found a really neat one that I loved so that is the one I decided on. So later, it is late December/early January and I have seen the movie and declared Strider to be my favorite when I come upon this same quote on a Lord of the Rings page. And what's more, the quote was the riddle poem for my Strider! Therefore . . . um . . . therefore something. Yes. It was meant to be. Really. So, anyway, here is that wonderful poem/riddle:
So I guess I shall do seperate pages for various characters and anything else that doesn't fit into a catagory. Pictures, of course, will be the main thing on these pages, I believe. In the character pages I will probably add some of my favorite quotes of theirs as well.
A page just for Strider. Why, you ask? Because he's my favorite, that's why.
Strider's Hall
And here is a nice little picture page for everyone else. Not a lot of pictures just yet, but that may change in the future. For now, enjoy what I have.

Here you have a very small link page. Only a couple links up right now, but you should check them out. I'll put more up as I run across worthy sites.
