Avalonian, Briton and Highlander fighters who devote their lives to the Church of Albion can become Paladins, defenders of the faith. Paladins get clerical chants to enhance their combat ability and that of their group. They can war all amours, and can most arms, although not ranged weapons.

This is what also made me choose Paladin as my profession when I first entered Albion.Some of the information may not be totally up to date because I play on the United Kingdom servers and we don't have the game as patched as the US servers.
