Born in a flash of Lightning on a Mountaintop, The Kingdom arose. Forged by a Sorcerer, Tempered by a King, and nurtured by a Queen, It grew bright and spread across a continent, a world, an Empire.
The Sorcerer was called Dworkin and he is Master of the Line, and Keeper of the Arcane. He knows much, but says little, and what he does speak is often in riddles.
The King was named Oberon, and he sired many children who grew in number and power over the centuries. The King built his land into a mighty realm, though not without cost in Blood and Treasure.
The Queen was named Titania, though that name is spoken no more. Children are not named Titania, and the one-time Mother of Amber is forgotten by Royal Edict in the land she helped birth.
But before The Glory and the Pride that became Amber, there are whispers of dark times and dark people with dark purpose. The Clerics shake their heads, saying that Present Prosperity is the surest sign of the favor of the Universe; but the Mystics declare that the stain in Amber's ancient past must be wiped clean, or all is lost.
And now, on the pinnacle of her success, Amber is faced with a choice of pursuits
