Course Description:
This course is designed to help students make a successful
transition to
Required Text and Supplies:

There is
no official text assigned for this course.
Attendance:
· The goal of this class is to help students achieve their academic goals within the Psychology major in the most enjoyable way.
· Since our course is class and assignment based, we do not require a textbook.
· Class participation is a major part of your grade, therefore attendance is mandatory.
· You are expected to attend all class sessions and be on time.
· Attendance will be taken ONLY at the beginning of the class.
· If you are absent, a two page make up paper on the missed class topic is required.
· More than two absences will result in a fail grade for this course.
Assignments:
· In this class we will explore both Psychology major and the skills necessary to be successful within our major.
· The assignments are practical exploration of those opportunities.
· They will related to the classes you are currently taking thus improving your overall performance
·
Assignments are accepted
only at the beginning
of the class session.
· Be sure your name is on every page turned in.
Late Assignments:
·
We scheduled assignments very
carefully taking in account exams, drop deadlines, and host of other important
factors that contribute and affect student success.
·
Their completion will be beneficial to you.
·
Since they are mostly consistent with the school
deadlines, turning in late assignments may not be of great benefit to students,
therefore late assignments will not be accepted.
·

will post the change on our class website.
We want this class to be
a great learning experience for you. We are all seniors in the Psychology
major, peer counselors through Student Service office in Tolman 3305, certified
peer counselors (in process)ASUC, and board members of ASP, a student service
organization within the Psychology major. It is our pleasure to assist you
in any way we can. If you
have questions about an assignment, if you have concerns even if they are not
related to this class, or if you need help please
let us know. If
you have health, family or work situations that interfere with your ability to
study or attend class – let us know right away so we can discuss how
best to resolve it.
