Episode 1: Galaxy Hope

Episode 1: Universal Hope

Setting: Five years after the massive eclipse and the release of all the powers of the Galaxy. All seems quiet and peaceful…could the evil have vanished??? Not quite…

Thorns pierced her delicate caramel brown body as they held her suspended in the air. Loud screams came from her and shot through the air, violently cutting through the soft winds. Her long golden locks were now tangled and wet from sweat and blood, leaving the rainbow shines of the strands dull and somewhat non-existent.

“Now…want to keep challenging me? Although, it’s not really a challenge but merely an amusement…” chuckled thin green lips, as ivy eyes peered evilly at the tattered soul hovering before her. This woman captured the essence of a massive tree. She was tall…very tall and embodied the complexion of bark. Her dress seemed to mock the leaves in the way it flowed around her and added to the essence of her strength and beauty. From her right hand came the many vines full of needle sharp thorns that covered Alova’s now weary body. “Ready to give up?”

“No!” she muttered as she used the last bit of energy she had to tighten her muscles and move to a sitting position. Her now pale pink eyes opened and gave a narrow glare. “Never…” but yet, she knew not what she was supposed to do, considering she felt as if just thrown into the situation.

“ALOVA…listen…to…your…heart.” Whispers voiced in her head as she clenched her teeth. Those same whispers that appeared to haunt her days ago, that in a span of one week had transformed her peaceful life into one of complete havoc, and confusion. At first she tried to ignore it noting that she had heard the name ‘Alova’ before but couldn’t place where. The whispers never ceased, and finally she gave in to it, following the words but not knowing why and where had it led her? In the midst of a fight, which she still had no idea why she was fighting. Considering that she had no other choice, she closed her eyes and listened to her heart. Suddenly, her heart began to speak to her mind… something that was impossible to believe yet part of a soothing power she had yet to fully discover. Her eyes opened, the pink vibrancy of them returning as she gave a small grin. She then stretched her arms out to the side pulling the vines along with them, and in some instances, allowing the thorns to tear her skin even more. She then spoke, strong and steadily, “LOVE…” as she began red mist proceeded to cover her body and fill with many small red hearts, “INNER…” the hearts covered her body and the thorns as the mist faded, then the hearts began to spin rapidly. “BLAST!!” the hearts, all in one accord, burst in a massive amount of energy that destroyed the vines that had covered her body, and sent the energy down through the vines to the woman, knocking her down with a loud thud. Alova’s eyes opened and for a brief moment she let out a sigh of relief then she remembered she was suspended in the air and began to fall. Luckily, she also remembered the pure white feathers that made the angelic wings that adorned her back. Using them, she balanced herself in the air and watched the fallen woman as she started to stand.

“Why you imbecile! How dare you!” she hissed as her eyes began to glow, “I will surely make you pay for what you’ve done!” she continued. Alova simply shrugged. Listening to her heart again she quietly whispered.

“Time to be quiet… Angel’s…” she placed two fingers on her lips which began to glow red. “Kiss.” She pointed her fingers in the woman’s direction and the glow from her lips formed a kiss that upon touching the woman paralyzed her. “I’d better go before that wears off.” She whispered to herself and flew off. Through the forest she had to be careful, the pathways were dusty and narrow, and the trees were moving in time with the wind that moved swiftly with the beat of her wings. The sun was beginning to set and the light of it was a brilliant gold that shined through the trees and made beautiful patterns on her body. As she came to the end of one pathway, an object caught her attention. The stone frame of it was out of place amongst the forest background and it looked like a child. She landed next to it to get a closer look. “Why would someone leave a statue out here? I wonder who it belongs to…so real its scary.” The markings were that of a little girl who had the facial expression of one who had just seen a ghost. Alova lifted a single finger to touch what seemed so lifelike. As soon as her finger touched the statue, transparent red hearts floated from her finger to the statue and it gained life. The little girl immediately jumped into Alova’s arms. Her eyes widened as she was suddenly pounced to the ground. “OOF!” she screamed as her head hit the grass.

“Thank you!” the girl exclaimed. Her deep brown eyes sparkled as she tossed her golden hair away from them. She then hugged Alova tightly, “I’m loved!” she added kissing her cheek then skipping off. After a few moments of silence, Alova looked down at her finger.

“Alright…I definitely wasn’t expecting that one…” she said to herself as she blinked a few more times. Slowly getting back on her feet, she noticed another statue not far away. “Where did all of these come from?” she wondered, getting closer to it. This one had the markings of a little boy in yet another frightful expression. “Better yet, who did this?” she added, bringing her finger to touch the boy. As with the girl, the boy was brought back to life and proceeded to pounce. As her head once again hit the grass a shadow slowly moved to cover them. The boy looked up in fright and ran away. Alova rose from the ground just enough to see the figure that was drawing near. She rolled her eyes and fell back onto the grass. “Not again…”

“Had you really led yourself to believe that I’d let you get away?” the familiar tree-woman asked gazing at Alova. Alova moved to an upright position and turned her head slightly to make eye contact.

“No, but I led myself to believe that your insane, and I am leading myself to believe your mentally challenged and not intellectually inclined and I’ll keep leading myself to believe them until proven wrong in any case.” This made the woman’s expression turned mean as her eyes began to glow.

“I will NOT stand here and allow you to insult me!” she raged.

“Oh sure…say that AFTER I’ve insulted you…” she got to her feet. “What a G EN I U S!” The woman clenched her fists and gritted her teeth.

“Do NOT get smart with me!”

“What? Afraid that you won’t comprehend?” she retorted with a smirk and then burst into laughter. The woman then threw her arms out and from them came a whirlwind of poison ivy leaves. With only a split second notice, Alova looked up from her laughter and her eyes widened. “YIPE!” she screamed, using her wings to pull her body up as if in a handstand, just barely missing the blast. Her heart began to beat faster as the woman blasted her with continuous strands of vines. Every time she dodged one, another was headed for her. One struck, knocking her head dead into a tree and she tumbled to the ground…lifeless. The minute she hit, two transparent red hearts popped out of her chest and started to spin, covering her body with a film like a bubble. The woman laughed as she proudly stepped up to her fallen subject.

*******

Leaves slowly fell around the sleeping angel, falling into the crevices that now covered her bubble shell; Crevices that formed from the woman trying everything to break the shell, and then finally giving up. Eyes soon blinked once…twice…then three times as the memory of what happened passed through her head. The woman! She sprung up, hitting her head on the top of the bubble, which knocked her back to the ground just as quickly. The instant she touched it, the hearts removed the film and dissolved back inside of her. Alova rubbed her head. “As if I didn’t already have a headache,” she groaned, slowly rising to her feet once again. The winds had died and darkness set upon the forest. Alova knew she needed to get home but feared using her wings because they hurt from her fall. She carefully and quietly made her way out of the forest and back to the street towards home. About halfway there, the wind drastically picked up causing her to stop in her tracks as she muttered, “This can’t be good…” She looked around, her eyes wide and alert. Seeing nothing but the empty sidewalks and lone streetlights she decided to keep going, a bit quicker now. Suddenly a gust of wind blew right at her causing her to loose her balance and stumble back a couple steps. She looked up at the sky, a figure formed among the winds. Alova said not a word, too shocked at the massive figure, yet drawn to the calmness and angelic aura the figure presented.

“We meet again young Aminta…” the figure softly spoke.

“How did you know my n—“

“Shh…I haven’t much time…first I’ll restore that which you have lost…” and with that she placed a finger on Alova’s forehead and a red heart appeared there. Instantly, Alova remembered the night she received her key and all the memories thereafter. She opened her eyes and looked at the figure.

“Herrosha…” she spoke with a smile, relieved to finally know a bit of what was going on. “So that was the evil I was fighting?”

“Pretty much…that is Arbra, one of the many rebels of Cosma.” Herrosha explained, “Cosma is the ruler of the four main elements: wind, water, earth and fire. You job is to make sure she doesn’t find a way to get your key and the keys of the others like you. She is also known to take the love souls of children, but I’m not sure if that is true.”

“But how am I supposed to keep---“

“Find the others before she does.” She answered.

“But how do ---“

“You are the angel of love, you have intuition, when it happens you will know…” and with that she disappeared in the mist. Alova’s eyes narrowed a bit.

“How does she DO that???” she asked just as a book materialized at her feet. She kneeled down to pick it up. It was jet black with the words ‘Galaxy Angels’ on the cover. She opened it and on the first page and it read:

Dear Aminta,

By now you have gained back your memory of the past and have many more questions that I can answer for you at this time. Therefore, I have put together this book and I hope that it will help you on your journey. If you ever need me…I’ll be there….

Herrosha.

She smiled a bit then began to flip through the pages. Alova found the names of all the angels and their respective element and the traits that supposedly go with each. She read about training, and about finding out her powers. She learned more about the keys and the legends that go with them. Finally she came to a Frequently Asked Questions section.

“No way…” she thought as she read the first question:

How do I get out of these clothes? A: Just take the crystal off of your uniform. The clothes will change back to your regular clothes and the crystal will turn back into the key. “Hmm…seems fair enough,” she said as she looked for the crystal. It was sparkling from her belt where the three ribbons hung. She slowly took it off and in a burst of sparkling hearts her uniform was back to her regular clothes. She looked at the Crystal key and smiled. “Wow…” She then closed the book and continued her walk back home. “I must put this book in a safe place…” she added as she went up the steps to the door. Once she made it to her room she pulled out a metal box with a lock on it. She placed the book inside and locked it, and then she placed the key on a necklace and put it around her neck and under her shirt. “Now…I’m set…I guess.” Yawned Aminta as she hopped in the bed and went to sleep.
