| The Hill Country of Central Texas is just
beautiful. The land is flat coming from the East. Then once one
passes through San Antonio the land changes drastically. Rolling
hills with houses perched on the top causes vacationers to 'Ahhh'
at the change.
That is just the crest of what the Hill Country has to offer.
To fully enjoy it one must take a scenic drive through the
heart.
Taking 46 out of Boerne, we traveled to scenic 16, through
Bandara, Tarpley, Utopia, and Rio Frio. The drive was just
wonderful. The music going and the beautiful scenery gave such a
sense of rest that it was hard to leave. That night perched on a
hill side rest stop we viewed some of the most beautiful skies
I've ever seen. The skies were only second best to the Colorado
sky at an elevation of 10,000 ft. You can see this astrophotography
