 Blarney
Castle
|
Many people know of Blarney
Castle. This castle was built around the 15th century. When asked about the
castle, most people speak of the Blarney stone.
|
|
Located at the top of this old
castle is a stone. Through an opening were boiling liquids used to be poured
through, to defend the castle, is a stone. One must lay on his/her back and bend
backward to kiss the stone.

There
is no charge for kissing the stone, but there is a charge to go
into the area itself. Around the castle are beautifully kept
gardens. Nearby, for shoppers, is the Blarney Woolen
Mills. |
