NOT sure quite why this sort of thing amuses me to the point that it does, but I have just discovered that the Danish for 'contact lens solution' is 'kontaktlinsevaeske,' the Dutch is 'contactlensvloeistof', the Italian the expectedly and ridiculously long 'Soluzione per lenti a contatto' the Finnish is 'piilolinssiliuos' and the Polish is probably something along the lines of 'Kontaktylensisolutekdzwzu.' Rah :-)

Not much else to report as such at the moment; first play rehearsal is a week today: one of my actors has dropped out and I haven't started to plan where people are going to stand. Hmm. In dung.

On a completely different note, everyone say hello to Michelle please people, as the link to her on here has been down for the best part of a year due to my chronic laziness, but is back up now. Rah, Mich :-)

...AND then sometimes, that little bit of serendipity strolls into your life when you're least expecting it, the clouds which you hadn't noticed part and the sun shines through.

I handed in an essay before Christmas which I had sweated over, and wasn't particularly confident about. It's just come back with an A- on. I hope I'm generally not one to boast, but I'm very happy just at present :-)

I love the way George Bush is going to announce these trips to the moon and Mars (going home, George?) - and this space-station on one or either. Two more worlds to ruin, then.

Saturday 10.1.04

MMMMMMMM, nice. Just sitting with Charlie, talking about our Christmas holidays. Charlie's waiting for her girlfriend to come round, whom she hasn't seen for a while. Charlie's just fallen over saying 'Country Crisp.' She's not desperate or anything. No. :-)

BEING back at uni is nice, but a slight lurch. I'd just been getting used to slungeing around, doing very little and working precisely when I wanted to. Now it's very much more timetabled and rigid, which is all well and good, but, as I've discovered, not how I like to work. Oh well.

And in case you're wondering about the above, one of the reasons why I love having a website is that I can just pull words from my backside, bring them into reality on here, and you all know exactly what I'm talking about immediately. I hope :-)
