Wednesday 19.9.01 Well kids, it's been fun, but I have a nasty feeling that the shit will hit the fan if I try and write this damn thing every day at Uni, so we all better start getting used to doing it less often. Will probably update every three days or so; the benefits of this are obvious: there will, I promise, be something interesing to read every time I write. I realise I've had my own silly season over the last few months (reading over some of the shit I've written has been cringe-worthily embarrassing) and it's all about to change... Friday 21.9.01 Bizarre couple of days, but strangely productive in their own weird way. Had a pointless interview for Books Etc yesterday, and given that I've already got a shop (smug smirk) and they were bit crap from start to finish, it was all a but of a waste of time really. But never mind. So after meeting Tess for a FAT lunch, I sugared off home to fling off my interview garb and get me going-out gear on for an evening in Golders Green with Jane, Sus and Tess. Good stuff. Got pissed. Ended up staying the night and almost drinking my contact lenses. Monday 24.9.01 Mad-panic-rush-shit-I-haven't-started-packing-yet now over, and I am happily and safely installed in my hall for next year. It's very bizarre running up to everyone yet again and saying 'Hi, I'm Mark' yadda yadda yadda and generally making a prat out of myself: I thought I did that enough last year. Oh well - the room is cool, the neighbours are nice, and the place has a great atmosphere, especially now I can stop charging off to work and back again, and then up to my room, down to the kitchen etc. etc. Marvellous. Oh yeah, better start some work now, I suppose... Tuesday 25.9.01 Thank you to whoever sent me the E-card - unfortunately I don't know who it was, and whoever sent it violated one of their rules (probably tried to send too many and got stopped under anti-SPAM stuff) so I never got it. Care to identify yourself? I think I have a fairly good idea.... |
