One day I was out in my backyard practising gymnastics when all of a sudden I was transported to this weird looking place. I asked myself where on earth I was. Then it hit me! I was in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers command centre. I thought that I was dreaming or something. Just as I was about to push a button, Alfa 5 walked out of somewhere and tripped on the stair. Then Zordon came in. He said that I was a Power Ranger and I thought "what? Am I in California or something?" I asked Zordon.
He said that it was real and then continued with his little speech about rules and he said that I was to control the Stegosaurs Dino-Zord. He told me to look at the viewing globe. The globe showed me my Stegosaurs and all of the other dino-Zords. As I was about to leave. He said that he needed six more people to form an elite team.
I had sent in a postcard for that Green Ranger Sweepstakes thing and I had won so I got to go and visit them in person. That was the thrill of my life. Oh ya. I almost forgot to mention that before this I had defeated one of Rita's monsters, the Samurai Fan Man, all by myself. OK. Time to get back to today.
Like I was saying, I had sent a postcard for the Sweepstakes and I won. So right now I'm on my way to California to visit the cast of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers which was so cool. The plane had finally landed (I was with my Mom and Dad) and guess who met us there? The Power Rangers.
They were disguised as people wearing long trench coats and hats, but do you know how I knew it was them? Each one was wearing the colour of their costumes from the show. Everyone was there: Walter, Amy Jo, David, Thuy, and Jason. We drove together to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers hotel. I got to sleep in the hotel. One of the actors was allowed to sleep in the suite with my family so I chose Amy Jo. She slept in the room right next to mine. I had a door that led into her room.
One night I got up the nerve to tell someone about my being a Power Ranger. First I had to clear it with Zordon so I contacted him and made sure that it would be all right. I also told him that I may have found the perfect people to take the other places(Dino-Zords, colour costumes, etc.). He said that it would be all right. So one night I asked Amy Jo if she could come into my room so we could talk. She said that she wasn't busy. So she came in my room. I started the story from the beginning. This is exactly what I said.
"I was transported to this weird place. When I got there I had no idea where I was but then it hit me. I was in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers command centre. Alfa came out of somewhere and then tripped on the stair. Zordon entered."
I was so excited and said, "Is this for real?" He explained that it was and he said that I was a Power Ranger. I'm like "What? Am I in California or something?"
He continued with his little speech about the rules and explained to me what I should be doing. He also said that I was to control the Stegosaurs Dino-Zord and that my colour was to be purple."
Amy-Jo didn't even believe a word I was saying. As soon as I was done my story, she asked me to prove that I was a Power Ranger. So I said that I would make myself disappear and that I would bring her back to the Command Centre. She even asked if we were in California.
I said, " No. We're in Waterdown in Ontario. That is my home town."
Alfa and Zordon were waiting for us when we appeared.
"Now do you believe me?" I asked her. She still didn't. I asked what would make her believe me. She said to morph and call on the Stegosaurs Dino-Zord. So I said I would. I made sure with Zordon and then when he said yes, I morphed and called on my Stegosaur. Then she finally believed me.
I asked Zordon if he could make Amy-Jo a Power Ranger. He had recognized her from the TV show. He and Alfa didn't miss it. That day Amy-Jo became a Power Ranger. Of course she was pink with her Pterodactyl.
After all of that we said our good-byes and morphrd out of there back to the hotel.Everybody was waiting there for us when we returned except my parents. They had gone out for dinner.
"Where have you two been?" they all asked together.
"We were at the Command Centre," I said.
"What?" they exclaimed.
"I know it sounds weird but Amy and I are Power Rangers. See." We both showed our power morphers and our communications.
"Man. Totally weird," said Walter.
"Austin. What time is it?" I asked.
"Nine o'clock," he replied.
"Oh nuts!. I guess we will have to show you the Command Centre tomorrow because Alfa and Zordon are sleeping right now," I said.
It was the next morning, a bright and beautiful one. The sun was shining and there was not a cloud anywhere in the sky. I went out into the kitchen to get some breakfast. Amy was there already and she looked sad.
"Amy, is something wrong?" I said in a whisper. She said that her parents had got a divorce. I would be gloomy too if that happened to me. I tried to make her feel a little better.
Soon it was lunch time and everyone was there. My parents were invited over too. After we ate, we all teleported to the command centre. Alfa and Zordon were waiting for us. They recognized them all. In half an hour, Walter, Thuy, Austin, Jason, and David all became Power Rangers. That was the second happiest day of my life.
Suddenly the alarm went off. That meant that Rita had let a monster loose and was trying to destroy the world or take it over. We morphed and transported to Memorial Park. Rita had sent down the Putty Patrol to stop us. They were no match for us. I did a front walk over and then did a sidekick right in the Putty's stomach. Walter was doing some of his dance moves and back flips and kicks. "Hi-ya," we all said. Amy, Thuy and I did a back somersault onto the guys shoulders. We took out our blade blasters and fired. That got rid of the Puttys.
But now we had a bigger problem. Rita had sent Goldare to defeat us. Austin was leader of the Power Rangers. We all tried our Blade Blasters but they didn't work. Rita used her magic wand and made Goldare grow.
"Austin, why don't we call on our Dino-Zords?" I said.
"Ya--let's do it," he said. "We need Dino-Zord power now!"
Austin's Tyrannosaurs came out of a lava pit. Thuy's Sabre Toothed Tiger came out of the jungle. David's Triceratops came from a desert. Amy's Pterodactyl comes out of a volcano. Walter's Mastodon comes out of the Ice-age. Jason's Dragon-Zord comes out of the water and my Stegosaurs comes out of the swamp.And here they come!
"OK. Let's do it," yelled Austin. "Hi-Ya," he said as he jumped on top of the Tyrannosaurs's head. "Hi-Ya," Thuy and Amy said as they jumped in the Dino-Zords.
"Thuy here. I don't even know how to drive this thing."
"Affirmative. They're actually driving themselves.," said David.
"Walter here. This one is kicking."
"Steph here. Don't worry. You'll get used to it."
"Hey, nice stereo," Amy said.
Austin called, "OK. Let's see what these babies can do." We all fired and hit Goldare. They mad him fall down but he got right back up again. He swung his sword and hit all of us.
"Austin, we need more power," said David.
"Ya, you're right. I agree."
"All right guys. Let's bring em together," Austin said. We all agreed.
All of the Dio-Zords were working together to form Mega Zord. About ten seconds later we had Mega Zord. Now this was a real fight. We were kicking and punching Goldare. He was doing the same except he had a sword.
"Power sword now!" Austin yelled. Here it came out of the sky! We got it and hit Goldare. He fell and hit us. We hit him again and again and he did the same to us.
"Put it in full power," Austin said. So we did and the sword had a tremendous burst of power. As soon as we were going to fire, Goldare said,"I'll get you next time! I'll be back!"
Alfa and Zordon were waiting to congratulate us."Well done Power Rangers. You did very well at fighting Goldare," Zordon said.
"Ya but we were pretty lucky," said Walter.
"Luck had nothing to do with it. You seven have made the best team in a long time," said Zordon.
"Really?" asked Amy.
"Yes but I'm afraid Rita will make more monsters to defeat you. Good luck Power Rangers and let the Power protect you."
CHAPTER TWO
It was a bright and beautiful morning and Thuy and Amy were already up and making signs that read, Stop the Pollution. Save Our Earth.
"What are you guys doing," I asked sleepily.
"We're making signs to stop the pollution," said Thuy.
"Why," I asked.
"You know that old dump site a couple of streets up?" Thuy said.
"Yes, I do."
"Well it smells worse than your dad's socks." said Thuy.
I let them get back to work and I got my breakfast. I had pancakes, buttered toast, a glass of orange juice, and a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats. I ate my breakfast in front of the television.
"We're going out for a walk," called Amy. I said good-bye and they left.
"Phimster, isn't my monster ready yet?" Rita yelled.
"Almost. There all done." Phinster said.
"Good. Well what's he like?" Rita demanded.
"Well we had great success on Galaxy Five when he beat Zordon. I have decided to use the Mighty Minuter. That should get rid of those Power Rangers. Into the monster manic you go! Ten seconds should do it and then he's done."
"He looks gruesome . I'll send him down to earth right now."
The other guys were still asleep. It was only nine o'clock. An hour had gone by. Walter and Austin got up.
"Hi guys," I said cheerfully.
"Hi, Steph," said Walter. All they were wearing were shorts. Austin's shorts were plaid. Walter's shorts said We Kick Rita's Butt. And the best part was that it had to do with us. Also his shorts had a picture of all of us in our costumes holding our weapons. They had got a cup of coffee.
"Where are Amy and Thuy?" asked Walter.
"They went for a walk," I said.
"Oh," Walter replied.
"Um guys. I'm going to get changed and then go outside and practise karate and stuff." I said.
"Sure. We'll be out there in about fifteen minutes or so," Austin said.
"Ok," I said. About five minutes later I was dressed and ready to go. "If you need me you know where I'll be."
"Sure," Austin said.
As I went out on the porch, I looked outside. It was a beautiful day. In my backyard we had made a few changes , one set I like. On the right hand side of the backyard, in between the tree and the garden there is a karate area. On the left hand side is a gymnastics area with a floor, a beam. In front of the gym area is a hot tub. I ran outside to the karate area. I was doing backflips and sidekicks and stuff.
"Wow! She's really improved since the last time I saw her," Said Austin.
"I know," said Walter.
"How do you know?" asked Austin.
"I taught her," said Walter.
"What? When?" said Austin.
"While you were asleep."
"Ya but when I looked over at you, you were asleep." said Austin. Walter laughed.
"Man, that's David. He and I switched beds."
"Well are we going outside with Steph like we said we would?"
"Ya, let's go."
They practically ran into their room. As soon as they were dressed, they ran outside. I had moved to the gym area. The guys were challenging each other. There is this cool manoeuvre that Walter does. I like it. Walter kicks his leg in front. Then Austin grabs it and Walter quickly turns and faces the mat. Then he does a somersault and lands forward.
David and Jason had finally got up. They got a cup of coffee and quickly finished. They got dressed in a hurry and ran outside too. Jason went to join Austin and Walter. David came and joined me.
"Finally decided to get up, eh?" I said to David.
"Ya. Today's a Morphominal day," David said.
The first thing I did was a cartwheel. Then a roundoff, backflip, backflip, somersault. A piece of cake. David was doing back somersaults and stuff. After I was done doing things on the floor, I moved over to the beam. I was doing what Amy taught me.
Walter loves his music so he brought out his stereo. It already had a tape in it.
"Hi guys," Thuy yelled.
"Hi." I said back.
"Hey look at Stephenie over there," Thuy said. I did a back walkover.
"Wow. She's almost better than me," Amy said.
"Come on," said Thuy. Then I moved back to the floor and Amy went to the beam. Amy was doing what I was doing. After about an hour, Amy and I switched gym equipment. I went back on the beam and did the same thing. I was at the end of the beam. I did a back somersault in the air. As I was in midair doing the somersault, I heard, "We've got company," Jason yelled.
"I know." I said.
In the backyard was a picnic table which was getting a lot of use because Amy was having some trouble with Puttys. She did a front somersault onto to table. A putty kicked her. She kicked him back. Then she did a back flip, pushed down(as if she were doing a pushup) with all her might and popped up. While in the air, she turned and faced forward. Then there were two puttys, one in front and one behind her. She jumped up and did the splits. Her legs were as straight as a piece of paper lying on the table. Even David couldn't do that. She hit the two puttys right in the stomach. I was being surrounded by at least six puttys. They were all circling me. Then they all came after me. I don't know why so I morphed and yelled. I became the purple ranger. I took out my blade blaster and fired. That got rid of all the Puttys.
We all met in a circle and looked around. All the Puttys were laying motionless and they disappeared.
"Whew, now that was a workout," said Thuy breathless.
"They'll be back," said Austin.
"Guys, do you all want to go and have a shower because we worked up a real sweat."
"Yes. Let's go," said Austin.
We all went inside. One by one we had a shower.
"That felt good ," said Thuy. It was two o'clock and we still hadn't eaten any lunch. After we had a shower, Amy, Thuy and I had lunch made. We ahd ham and fish sandwiches.
All of us went out on the porch and ate lunch.
"Sorry guys. I think I'll stick with the ham sandwiches," said David.
"Why don't you like fish?" asked Amy.
"Well it all started when I was little. I had sailed a boat in the water and let it go.So then I stuck my finger in the water to see what a whirlpool was. I had just learned about it that day. Then a fish came and bit my finger so ever since then I've always hated fish.
"That's hilarious. Well don't worry. This fish won't bite you," Said Amy.
"Dig in guys. There's lots for everyone. " I said.
Austin took the ham sandwich, Walter took the fish sandwich, I took the ham and all Thuy had was a salad. Jason wasn't hungry. David, of course, had the ham. Amy had neither, she had lasagne.
After lunch we cleaned up and went to the park. We walked up.
"This is going to be so much fun," said Amy.
"There are two parks. Which one do you want to go to, my old school or Memorial Park?" I asked.
"Let's go to both," said Austin.
"Ya let's go," added Walter. We got there about two minutes later. Amy and I went to the doggie house.
"Boy, it's really hard to get up here."
"Well, once you get used to it , it gets easy." I said. Austin and Walter were chasing each other all over the place, up and down the slide. In other words, they were playing tag. Thuy and Jason were on the swings. After everybody came up in the doggie house.
"Man. Look at this place. It's covered with swear words.," Walter said.
"I know. It's horrible but it's life.," I said. We talked and talked for about an hour, I guess. Beep. Beep. That was Austin's communicator. It was Zordon.
"Austin, you must all come to the command centre," he said.
"OK guys. Get ready for telaportation, " said Austin. Ten seconds later we were at the command centre.
"What is it ,Zordon," asked Austin.
"Is it trouble?" Walter asked.
"Yes and no," replied Zordon.
"What do you mean?" Amy asked.
"Well you know when Stephenie was being surrounded by Puttys, Well the Puttys were trying to lead you away.
"Ya, but why," I asked.
"Well because they wanted to take you to the dark dimension. Then Rita would put you under a spell and make you her Ranger."
"You mean like what happened to Tommy in the show!" I said in a raging voice.
"Yes, I'm afraid so," Zordon said.
"No way. No way is she going to get me," I said in a really angry voice. Guy, I'm going to go home and do something to take my mind off things."
"Ya. We'll meet you there." Austin said.
I teleported out of there and went back to the backyard. I went to the karate mats. I was kicking and doing back flips and all of that karate stuff.
"Whoa, Stephenie. Don't over do it," Austin said.
"Sorry, but I'm just so mad. I just can't believe that Rita wanted to take over me."
"We know how you feel," Austin said.
"No you don't!"
"Well I do," said Jason.
"How?"
"Well you know on the show when Rita took over Tommy, "Jason said.
"Ya."
"Well I know that it was only a character but I felt pain inside."
"Really?, I asked.
"Yes," said Jason.
"Well that makes me feel a little bit better."
"How about going to get some ice cream?" said Thuy.
"I think I'll stay here and cool down a bit," I said.
"You sure?" said Austin.
"Yes. Go on. I won't be very good company anyway. I'll be fine. If you need me or I need you, we know how to reach each other right?" I said.
"We'll be back in about an hour," said Walter.
"Bye," I said sweetly.
Hah. Don't worry about anything. Besides I'll be fine If anything happens, I can always morph and use my blade blaster. Or if my problems get bigger, I can call on my Stegosaurs. Or I can call the other guys. I went inside and listened to music. My parents weren't home. My Dad was at a flower show with my Mom. It may last forever. I was home alone except for my dog, Pepper. Then I got the idea to phone a friend and see what she was doing.So I decided to phone Tricia. I called her up and asked her what she was doing. She said that she wasn't doing anything. So she is coming over. Fifteen minutes later she arrived. The other guys still hadn't come yet. I really didn't mind.
"So what do you want to do," Tricia said.
"I don't know. What do you want to do." I asked.
"Well let's go do gymnastics." Tricia replied.
"Ok," I said. Good. At least that will keep my mind off things, I thought. We went over to the floor. We were doing cartwheels and handstands. Then I showed her what else I could do. I did a back somersault.
"Wow! Where did you learn that," she asked.
"From my friends," I said.
"Who?" said Tricia.
"Well, you'll know soon enough," I replied.
"Oh.O----," she started to say but she was interrupted by the gate shutting. I turned around and saw Jason standing there. "Hi Jason. Is something wrong?" I asked.
"No. Everything's okay," he said.
"Oh. I almost forgot. Where are the other guys?" I asked.
"They're coming. Oh-- here they are."
"Hi guys," I said politely.
"Hey Steph," said Austin.
"Come here. I want to introduce you to someone," I said. They all walked over.
"Guys, this is my best friend, Tricia Hulleman."
"Hi," they all said.
"Hi," said Tricia.
"Let's start from the beginning," I said. This is Walter, Amy, Thuy, David, Austin, and finally Jason. Do you know who they are?"
"No." she said.
"Well this is the cast of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. These are the friends that I was talking about. They are the people who teach me things. Like Amy and David teach me gymnastics. Walter and Austin teach me karate. They teach me two hours each day if it is nice out," I said.
"Ok. Well do you guys all want to do something," Tricia asked.
"Yes, sure. Let's go," Austin replied.
"Hey Walter, Kill the music," I yelled.
"No prob," he replied. He put on some rap music. That was his favourite.
"Cool tunes," I said.
"Yes, I know," he said.
Tricia and I went over and did karate. Walter was dancing to the music.Austin was just watching. Amy and David were doing gymnastics. Jason and Thuy were doing karate also.
"Something wrong, Austin," I asked.
"No everything is fine," he replied. So I went back to karate. As I was walking back, Puttys came fron every direction.
"Circle formation, guys. Tricia! Get in the middle," Austin yelled.
"Right," she said. We all formed a circle around Tricia. We were kicking and punching the way we always do. Fifteen minutes later the Puttys lay there motionless.
"Tricia. Are you all right?" Austin asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," she said.
"Ok, Tricia. Go in the house and call your parents to see if they can pick you up," Austin told her.
"Sure," Tricia said.
"Trish, I'll phone you tomorrow," I said to her.
"Ok. Bye," she said. After she was out of sight, we teleported to the Command Centre.
"All right get ready for teleportation," Austin said.When we got to the command Centre, Alfa and Zordon were waiting.
"Power Rangers, Rita has unleashed a new Monster. He is called the Mighty Minuter.
"Hey. We defeated him in the show," Walter said. "Cool".
"Look at the viewing globe," Zordon said.
"We've got to destroy it."Austin said.
"Yes, before it destroys all of Waterdown," Amy said.
"It's morphin time," yelled Austin.
"Stegosaurs, Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Sabretooth Tiger, Tyrannosaurus, Dragon-Zord." We all yelled our Dino-Zords names and as we did we morphed into action. We morphed to the city.
"He's a menacing Minuter," David said.
"I'll get him with my blade blaster," Austin said. "Euh. Ahh. Oof.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Ya, I think so," Austin replied.
"Hi ya!" Thuy, Amy and I yelled. As we jumped onto the guys shoulders, we all took pout our blade blasters and fired. That almost got rid of the monster. Then Rita threw her magic wand and said, "Magic wand, make my monster grow!" And then the monster grew huge.
"All right, we need Dino-Zord power now," Austin yelled. Our Dino-Zords came and jumped into the control room.
"This is David. All systems go!."
"Thuy her. Ready to rock!"
"Steph here. Let's nail em".
"Amy her. Let's munch this minuter."
"Activating Power Crystals," Austin said.
"2 -1- power up," we all said.
"Activating Mega-Zord transformation," Austin said.
Our Zords were working together to form Mega-Zord.
"All right. Let's get them," Amy called.
We were kicking and punching him with Mega-Zord's elbow. We were doing really well. At least that is what we thought.
"Zordon, those blasts don't even phase him," Alfa said.
"Yes, Alfa. Bring the Power Rangers back to the command Centre. I think that it is time to bring to them ancient weapons," Zordon said.
"Right," Alfa replied.
"Zordon, what are we doing here?" Austin asked, as soon as he got there.
"Ya--I thought we were doing well," Walter said in astonishment.
"I assure you your questions will be answered.The reason that I've got you here is that I have something new to show you."
"What?" Walter said.
"Well I thought that it was time to bring forth to you the ancient weapons. David, this is your Power Lance. Thuy, these are your Power Daggers. true as arrows and featherlight. Walter, this is your Power Ax--lightning quick and razor sharp. Amy, this is your Power Bow--arrows that can go a long distance. Austin, this is your Power Sword. Your weapons can come together and form an ultimate weapon.
"Stephenie, sorry but you don't get a weapon."
"That's Ok," I said.
"Is that it,Zordon?" asked Austin.
"Yes," Zordon said. We teleported to the park. We were fighting the monster when all of a sudden Austin's sword started to glow. Then Zordon talked This is what he said."Now is the right time to bring your weapons together. Everybody else's weapons were glowing too.
"Let do it!" Austin said.
"Power Axe!" Walter yelled.
"Power Bow!" Amy yelled.
"Power Daggers!" Thuy yelled.
"Power Lance!" David yelled.
"Power Sword!" Austin yelled.
"Power Rangers!" we all yelled.
A flash of red, yellow, black, pink and blue colours came from the weapon and got rid of the monster.
"Yea! All right!" Walter said.
"I just can't stand it. Out of all the bad guys,I had to get stuck with these nit-wits!" Rita scolded.
"That was so fun, especially when we all got our weapons," Amy said happily as we all walked back to my house. We were all tired so we were all going in the hot tub when we got back.
When we got back to our house, we changed into our bathing suits and ran into the hot tub.
"Man, this is so hot. This is so good!" Walter said.
"Yes, I know," I said. Austin was in the hot tub just daydreaming. Amy and Thuy had a bucket of cold ice water and when Austin was in a deep dreaming thing, they poured the bucket of cold water on his head.
"AAAAHHHHHHH" Austin yelled as he jumped out of the hot tub.
Amy, Thuy, Walter and I were laughing our heads off. Walter was laughing the hardest.
"This is classic!" Walter said still laughing.
CHAPTER THREE
I woke up. It was March There was snow still on the ground. Gross, I thought. Amy, Thuy, Walter, Jason, David and Austin were living with me. They've been here for a year now. It was a Monday and I had to go to school. Everyone else was still sleeping. Even my parents got a day off. But I would be home at three. My Mom got up and made my lunch and then went back to bed when I left. I got on the bus and went to school. It was along day.
I arrived home at three o'clock. Amy, Thuy, Austin and Walter were watching the shows that I had taped.
"Hi guys," I said.
"Hey, Steph," said Walter,
"Oh I see that you are watching Dooms Day Part I," I said.
"Yes. Isn't it cool?" said Walter.
"I almost forgot to go to my Kumon Math class," I said. If you need me I'll be in my room," I said as I ran up the stairs. I went and finished my Math in about forty-five minutes. I had not had time to do any the day before. Too busy fighting monsters with the guys. I got Austin to mark my work for me.
"It's all correct," he said.
"Cool!" I said. "What time is it?"
"It's 4:28," Walter said.
"Could you or Austin drive me over to the Kumon centre, please?" I asked.
"Sure, I'll drive you," replied Austin. "Is that Ok?"
"That's fine. All I want to do is go there and get my work done and come home again to tape the Power Ranger's show."
"Let's go!"
"Thanks for driving me," I said.
"No prob. We're here."
"Could you pick me up in half an hour?"
"Sure," he replied. A half an hour later he was there. When we got home, I dropped my case on the table and then went down stairs. I had got the tape ready to record but when it came time to tape, I had already taped that show. It was a rerun already. I had to go skating later so I went and got ready.
After we had eaten dinner, my Mom drove mr to skating. At about quarter to seven a strange thing happened. Everyone at the arena froze. They were still alive but just couldn't move. Then all of a sudden Walter, Thuy, Amy, Austin, David and Jason teleported to the arena with their skates on.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Well we kind of froze them," Walter said.
"What? Why?"
"So we could skate with you because we couldn't skate any other time," Walter said.
"True. But they're not hurt are they," I asked.
