One of my Very favorite things to do is to
"QUILT"
These are some of my favorite quilts
that I would love to share with you

This Sun Bonnet Sue quilt was the first quilt I ever made. It is made from scraps
from my dresses when I was a little girl. Mother had the little girls made
for many years and when I started quilting she gave then to me
and I set them to blocks and made my first quilt.
It was made all my hand.
"Sun Bonnet" has always been my favorite quilt pattern.

This is the newest Sue Bonnet Sue quilt that I am now
working on. This will be for Candice Graduation.

This is a little quilt that Candice made
on her own of course with a little help from Granny
but she did a good job.

This Sun Bonnet Sue quilt was pieced by me and was
quilted by the quilt group that I belonged to at The First Methodist Church
This is one of my favorite quilts because of the memories of the ladies
that I quilted with for so long.

This quilt has quite a story behind it.
I worked on this quilt for at least 20 years.
No I am not that slow I just kept taking it out
working on it and putting it up again. I seemed to have a problem
getting it to square up so I would just put it up and then
I would drag it out again.
One day I just decided to take the sissors
and make it straight and bind it and finish it.
At long last it was finished
and turned out pretty good.
I had called it "My Ugly Quilt"for years
but as it turned out it was pretty and very
colorful. The pattern is called "Centienal".
There is a story behind this quilt pattern.
Back in the covered wagon pioneer days, women
would cut little pieces of fabric in hexagon shapes
and they would trade with their friends, then when they
had enough blocks that were different
they would make this quilt. This would make
many different colors and patterns
in the quilt. I enjoy this quilt
and I use it a lot. I actually use all my quilts becasue that is what
they are made for is to use and enjoy.

Now this quilt is the most special to me and I
did not make it. This was Mother's quilt
that the Rebecca Lodge gave Mother when she was
"Nobel Grand" of the Rebecca Lodge. Each of the members
made a block with their name on
it and they put it together and quilted it
and gave it to her. The pattern is "Friendship Block Quilt".

This quilt is called "Midnight Stars" I bought this quilt for Candice.
