Backround

      Sailor Pluto first appeared in Sailor Moon R, first as a blurred image in the eye of the Luna Sphere, and then as a small person in "The Secret of the Luna Sphere", when she had to send the Sailor Scouts into Rini's dream world to destroy the Grim Man.  She controls the Luna Sphere, and she gave Rini the time key so that she could go to the past, and save her mom.  In "Future Shocked" she attacked Sailor Moon, because she thought that she was trespassing, and then realized who it was and sent the Sailor Scouts to the future.  She uses the huge key, which is the time key, to "unlock" the door that leads to the cosmic time warp.  She also has one of the three tailsman, the garnet orb, which is the top portion of her staff.
