The Light

This is the most widespread religion in the world. The light has countless churches across the world, most notably the Holy Isles off the coast of Jervis, where the world's greatest Priests of the Light spend their lives training warriors to become paladins, or holy knights. The Light beleaves in three deities: The Lord, The Lady, and The Prince. This monarchal family of gods, known as the "Triluminae", created the universe and made humanity from gold that The Lord had molden into the shapes of man and woman. Accoding to The Light, there is a force called the Blackness, formed when The Lord, The Lady, and The Prince stripped themselves of all evil intent. The evil that was stripped from them then became the Blackness, and began it's crusade against all things holy. The Followers of the Light (or just Followers) have a similar set of morals and guidelines to that of the Christianity of our world, and like said religion, the Church of the Light has become corrupt in the modern day, many of it's priests looking for money and persecuting everything and everyone.

Saedrela

Saedrela is the official religion of the Elven Nation. Saedrels beleave that the planet known as Krad has a soul, known as Desaerii, from which all life and magic is sprung. Desairii created herself as a beautiful planet of nature and peace. This is why elves refuse to have anything to do with modern technology. It also beleaved that Desairii is dying, and that is the reason for the decline of magic use.

Dehgotek

This is an ancient religion of Orcish desent, though many from other races have decided to worship. The Dehgotekans beleave that the world is filled with gods, or Krisch, who all serve a sort of over-god called Gousak, who watches them from his three eyes: the sun, the red moon, and the white moon. It is beleaved by those who practice Dehgotek that Gousak gave all things life because he had a theory that only he could handle sentiance responsibly. He expects people to be happy and thankful for the life he has given them, and expects them to celebrate it, which is where the Dehgotek holiday of Bekka, celebrated primarily within the city of Tildeen, cmes in. Bekka is celebrated to show Gousak that his creations, all of the Krisch included, are enjoying life through song, drink, food, and wild celebration.

Perenism

Perenists believe in one thing and one thing only: work. The basic concept is that Peren, the god that they worship, is benevolant and angry, and expects all to spend their lives in worship to him. Perenists believe that once you die, you cease to exist. However, this is no reason to cease your toil in the name of Peren. In fact, if you did so, Peren would cause you to die a horridly painful death. Fun times are had by all.

McArthanism

Three or four decades after Tildeen was founded, an old jazz musician emerged from there with his big four-string bass. His name was Jim McArth. Jim had a message: Music lets you talk to heaven. Through music, of any type, one could reach through the clouds of this world and touch The Art, who is the genderless diety of this religion. This religion is studied through a series of rituals and songs that can be played on virtually any instrument. McArth also said that the only way to get into the hereafter was through music, as The Art wouldn't even acknowlege your existance without it. McAthanism has spread slowly in the years since it's founding.

The Great Choice

The Great Choice is more of an offshoot of the Light, but dubb themselves as a seperate religion. They beleave that The Lord of the Triluminae killed the Lady, making himself the supreme ruler of everything. The Chosen, as they prefer to be called, are those who realise this basic fact that The Lord is the master of everything. In the end, you go to the Paradise only if you acklowlege this. Otherwise, you're soul joins The Lady's in an eternal restless sleep known as Inferna. This religion is one of the more radical, persecuting non-believers to an extreme that even the corrupt powers of The Light cannot dare to rival. Their paladins have been known to ride throughout the countryside, searching out non-believers and slaying them. Unspoken rumors of a crusade float darkly overhead, known by all, yet told by none. The tension caused by The Chosen can be felt everywhere.

Ofcoarse there are small cults and less popular offshoots, but the six above are the best known in the world. Atheism is also a growing principle in these dark faithless nights.
