There are many creatures that make Krad their home. Some of them include:

Trolls: There was a legend, before any real scientific research was done on the species, that said that Trolls lived exclusively underneath bridges and ate any passer-by's that happened to be unlucky enough to stumble onto them. This is simply not true. Trolls try to find places dark and damp to make their homes, and some have chosen bridges, although it's difficult to reach up and grab a commuter bus as it passes overhead. They are almost completely blind, as generations of darkness have caused a thin layer of skin to grow over their eyes. They rely primarily on scent and hearing. Trolls are thin and slumped over, covered with a slimy grey-purple fish-like skin, with stumpy legs and obscenely long arms and fingers, used to grab prey above their layer without exposing their eyes to the harsh light of day. If a troll is out of their shelter at all, it's only on cloudy nights when the moon is blotted out, for even that much light is painful to these simple animals.

Scriens: The scrien is the main mount of Krad, although nowadays one sees more cars, motorcycles, and airplanes. The scrien is a dinosaur-like creature, shaped much like an ostrich (think about the raptors from Jurasic Park, sans big scary teeth and toe claw). They are exetremely fast, although not very intelegent. They are, however, very easy to train, and some find them to be easier to maintain than an automobile.

Dire Bears: Roughly translated into "OH, FUCK!!! GET THIS BIG FUCKING BEAR OFF OF ME!!! OH MY GOD, MY INNARDS ARE BEING RIPPED TO SHREDS!!!! PLEASE, JUST LET ME DIE!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF THE TRILUMINAE, GET IT OVER WITH!!!!! OH, THE PAIN!!!!"

Raji: Strange creatures, really. A raju looks like a monkey with the cranial structure of a weasel. On their dexterous little paws, they sport some quite frighteneing claws. However these are nothing much to worry about. Unless it's raining. In fair weather, a raju may appear lazy and slow, with no real motivation to do much of anything. However, in storm weather, the raji are all pulled into a rage, becoming dangerous frenzied berzerkers, hopping from tree to tree, shredding everything in their path. Unfortunately, these natives to the EOX are endangered due to the popularity of their pelts in orcish fahion.

Wargs: Sort of like the dire bear, these creatures are slightly overlarge wolves with bad temperments. They do suffice as mounts, especially in the case of dwarves and halflings, although most anyone can ride one with some effort. However, due to it's tendency to eat first and ask questions never, only the bravest, and the baddest can tame these creatures.

Lindworms: The lindworm is probably the closest thing Krad still has to a dragon. Although it is without wings or legs, it is still scaled and rather large, about the hight of two men and the width of an orc. For unknown reasons, lindworms are attracted to shiny things, and can often be found coiled around some kind of treasure or weapon (however, more often than not, they are found coiled around a broken television or a nicely pollished hubcap). While the lindworm is highly poisonous, it's venom can be used to cure several diseases.

Gnomes: While walking through a cave in the summer, one might stumble unknowingly onto a large crevace in the wall or ceiling filled with little warty rat-like faces. This is called a gnomalgum, for the faces are those of gnomes. Gnomes are small tailless rat-like creatures that reach up to a foot tall. They are generally covered in warts and are a sickly brown color. Little bristly hairs stick out of their skn at random places, and don't seem to serve any purpose. Gnomes are cold-weather animals, and, while they function just fine in the snow and the cold, they hybernate, in a sense, when it starts to get warmer, and groups of them find small crevaces in caves where it'll stay cold, and climb in. Then, something miraculously disturbing happens: their bodies meld together. The gnomes sort of melt into one big blob of gnome flesh, with individual faces sticking out to facilitate breathing. A gnomalgum is often a tasty treat for other cave-dwelling creatures such as trolls.
