"How about NYC..." Said Jessie.
"We did that last summer..." Jonny added. "How about California...?"
"You're kidding right? We wanted to get out of the heat I thought, otherwise
I would've told mom we'd come down to that dig in Columbia..."
"Jess, we wanted a VACATION... not a job in the heat." Jonny sighed,
this was
going to be a while.
"Why not the China Sea?" Hadji added with decorum.
Jessie crinkled her nose, "Not ANOTHER boat trip..."
"UGH! Jessie, you're hopeless sometimes you know that?!" Jonny said
as he
tossed twenty brochures at her. He smiled lopsided at Hadji. "Hey,
I have an
idea... why don't we all go camping?" A sly look crossed his face.
"Where?" Jessie said, her enthusiasum and curiosity peaking.
"Adirondacs... withOUT dad or Race... for a week." Jonny's eyes glowed
with
images of chocolate bars and junk food glittered as his mouth watered.
"Hmm... I do not think we could swing THAT... but camping here could
work,
let us put that on the list of possibilities..." Hadji said, scribbling
his
thoughts down.
Jessie looked on the list that read ten other possibilities.
1: Cancoon, Mexico
2: Beijing, China
3: Backpacking Europe...
