And now, without any further ado. . .
The Robot Spies, The PG-13 Out-takes. (To be followed by the Rated R
and
maybe X out-takes.)
Dr. Quest sat beside his trusted friend Race Bannon on the long drive
from
the Augusta Airport to Portland, Maine. "It really is too bad that
the kids
didn't get to join me in Australia, after all, Jonny has barely ever
seen
that part of the world." He said as he looked through some pictures.
"Anyways, Doc, how did that conference go?" Race asked with a minimum
hint of
enthusiasm.
"The quantum sciences and theses were EXCELLENT! And the room service
was
also pretty good." Benton smiled as he patted his stomach for proof.
"Sydney
is such a beautiful area of Australia too, the architecture was filled
with
parabolas and hyperbolas, a mathematician's dream, and an architecture's
nightmare!" They laughed, slightly scientific implements in a conversation,
Race could deal with, but Race didn't exactly have the same vocabulary
as Dr.
Quest, or his daughter Jessie's for that matter at times.
"Well, that sure does SOUND exciting, I can't wait to get back to the
Compound though," Race said.
"For Jessie, or for Estella?" Dr. Quest said, smirking precariously.
"Watch it there. . ." Race said, then continued, "Because I *do* notice
the
lipstick on your collar, and by the way, you might want to get rid
of that
before we get back, Jonny might not be too appreciative of that, Doctor."
Dr.
Quest immediately blushed and silenced himself. He then proceeded to
try and
wipe the lipstick smudge off his white collared shirt.
"Heh, good call Race," Dr. Quest eventually deciding that the smudge
was
permanent changed his top shirt into his typical apparel.
Ten minutes later, "Race, it is nice to have both Jessie and Estella
at the
Compound though. . . They sure are amazing women."
"Yeah, I know. . . I can't wait to get back to. . . THE COMPOUND! Dr.
Quest,
it's on fire!" Race sped up to the Compound and practically leaped
from the
car as he slid the gear from D to P.
The car vibrated as the gears finally obeyed with a jerking jarring
motion,
Dr. Quest undid his seat belt and joined Race in the immediate search
efforts. The Lighthouse was intact, but he soon saw that no security
equipment was left operational, how 'convenient' for them. Also there
were no
footprints in the glass or debris, Dr. Quest deduced it had to have
been an
explosion. "Race, this debris pattern, it must have been an explosive
device
of some sort, but the kids, there's no sign of them in the Lighthouse,
someone must have been looking for a way to. . . WAIT. . . The security
unit
in the main house, no one knows about that security console except
Jonny and
myself, I'll see if it was activated." Dr. Quest said, running to a
segment
of wall that had a scorched painting hanging limply in front of it.
Race continued the search, "Why didn't the fire department come! the
alarms
would have tripped unless someone cut them." Race scowled angrily,
"This was
no accident, someone planned this. . . and thoroughly!"
"Not too thoroughly though," Dr. Quest said with a sigh of relief. He
looked
into the screen and replayed the footage, "IRIS, replay the last 5
minutes
recorded!"
Race turned to glance as a scene of robot spiders crawling up the side
was
shown.
**
Jonny and Jessie took Estella into the parlor, "Mom, come on, I have
to show
you around!" Jessie said in a happy squeal.
"I can see why you like to spend more time with your father, Jessie,
already!" Estella smiled a warm motherly smile as the kids took her
farther
into the parlor.
"Here, let's start the tour with your guest room, so we can put the
luggage
down." Jonny said as he began to lead them up the stairs. Suddenly
a silent
alarm directly linked to IRIS sounded.
"INTRUDER ALERT, PERIMETER BREACHED, I AM NOT JOKING, THE COMPOUND HAS
BEEN
BREACHED. . . MY SYSTEMS ARE FAILING THE ALARMS HAVE BEEN SEVERED.
. .
INTRUDER ALERT." IRIS'S voice was soon drowned out by a rumbling at
the cliff
side of the house, Jonny dropped Estella's luggage and ran towards
the bay
window to see the danger.
"OH NO! Robot Spiders!" Jonny said, he rushed over to a hidden console
in the
wall and pushed the painting aside. He began typing in commands to
the
computer as he tried to restart IRIS'S computer security system.
"What ARE those things?" Estella said nervously.
"No time to explain, but we're in big trouble, I can't get IRIS to do
a full
reboot, she only has time to rebuild half of the defense grid before
they hit
us!" Jonny typed his over ride codes as fast as he could, "We're up
to 70 %
but that's all we're getting, hold on everybody, let's see if this
helps!" A
heavy metallic clinking sound indicated the defense shutters closing.
"These
should help buy us some time!" Jonny said, until he saw a perimeter
scan.
Jonny's face grew pale.
"Jonny, what is it?" Jessie said in a loud panicked voice.
"Jess, they just cut off our only escape route, the main hallway is
the only
way to get to the passage ways and they just destroyed it! We're trapped!"
Jonny said, "As soon as their lasers cut through the shutters, we're
done."
He stepped back from the console.
Estella took the kids in her arms and slid them behind her as the first
bit
of shielding fell to the ground with a clinking sound. A spidery creature
emerged from the hole and then two others. A grasping tentacle reached
from
the insides of the mechanical beast and wrapped around Estella, then
retrieving her and putting her within it.
The next robotic spider came closer to Jessie before Jonny could deflect
her,
it wrapped around her and pulled her in, with a scream she was locked
into
the small space. The third spider took Jonny's leg with one tentacle
and then
wrapped another across his chest as it pulled him closer, Jonny called
out to
IRIS to try blasting mechanisms, but her controls were still too far
down.
With a clink Jonny was locked inside a beast all his own.
A simultaneous spray of ether to all three robots' interiors knocked
the
Quest Team out with three breaths.
Bandit growled as the robots closed in on him. One threw a small explosive
device, shaking the console as well as the frame of the house as it
detonated. The spiders took their prey and left the crumbling Compound
descending the cliff.
**
Dr. Quest and Race were startled by the whimpering sound after the
vicious
clip. Race snapped back to his senses first, "Bandit. . . Bandit, here
boy!"
He said as he dug out the small, burnt hair scorched doggy.
"It was Zin!" Dr. Quest said plainly, in an angry voice, "If he does
anything
to my son. . . or the others. . ." He cracked his knuckles. "We have
to find
Zin's latest base of operations, last I heard he was smuggling weapons
in to
Egypt for a revolt."
"Jade's in that area. She'd be able to help us, Doc. Let's get back
to the
airport and find her!" Race cocked his gun as he returned to the Jaguar,
"Let's go!" Benton buckled his seat belt as Race started the car and
slammed
it into Reverse, spinning them around enough to get out of the rubble's
treacherous path and then hit Drive accelerating to 3rd gear in a matter
of
seconds. Normally this sort of speed would give Race a well loved adrenaline
rush, but right now his seething anger and worry prevented him from
such
small pleasures.
Within 8 hours flying at highest allowed speeds in International Commercially
traveled air paths, Dr. Quest and Race arrived in Cairo.
**
Jonny, Jessie, and Estella awoke in a stone room carved with hieroglyphics.
"Where are we?" Jessie asked groggily, the effects of the twelfth shot
of
ether still wearing on her.
Jonny's eyes focused to the dimmed room before he could fix on to the
wall's
intricate designs. "It looks like markings from the Great Pyramids!"
Jonny
said, he began to feel the hieroglyphics to gain dimension to the dull
room.
Hours went by, searching each hieroglyph for a hint. . . "Mom, I think
this
one says 'Exit'. . ." Jessie said, Jonny looked over her shoulder.
"I saw one just like that in the other corner!"
**
Race and Benton arrived in Jade's office, they had already called in
to
inform her of their business in Cairo.
Jade smiled, "Hmm. . . Well Zin is a bit of a challenge." Jade said
with a
sly smirk, "And I do owe him one from my last heist, you know he STOLE
*my*
diamond!" Jade said in an angry voice.
"The Diamond connected to the murders in Japan?" Race said, his eyebrow
rose,
"How dare he, you worked so hard in stealing that from the police after
all."
A smirk rose across his face.
"No honor amongst thieves for their own property, it IS a shame."
"What is?" Race said.
". . .That I can't face him." Jade said continuing to Race, in a very
flirtatious comment.
Benton's eye began to twitch, "Wha. . . Why NOT?" Dr. Quest said with
a
confused, angry demeanor.
"Conflicts of interest, you see, two things, one I am already on an
assignment. . . And normally I would take on both projects, but. .
." Jade
said, as she looked over Race's body, "You came half way around the
world to
visit me to save your EX? Sorry, but that's not exactly what I classify
a
nice date. . ."
"Hey, would it help if we ripped of the Mona Lisa later?" Race teased.
Jade smiled, "Oh would you? If only I could get you out of your moral
boy-scout code." She teased him in return, patting his shoulder.
"JADE, please, we'll pay anything."
"Well. . . I was always fond of Jonny, and Jessie *is* a good kid, but
this
is Zin, so my price is triple!"
"What a surprise." Race said sardonically. She looked back at him.
"Watch it you, you're already on thin ice here. But first we have to
find out
where his base is, and I have an idea of who would know that."
**
Twenty minutes later, Jade sat in the car with a man with green eyes
and fair
skin, he looked very European but had a very light accent, which could
easily
have been faked.
"This. . . is my customer, he has offered to help us in our search."
"I appreciate your long business standings with Jade, but this does
take
priority over this." Benton said sharply.
"This I understand, Dr. Quest. Zin is a very dangerous man in the region,
and
his reputation in these parts is well known. His real estate selections,
on
the other hand, are a rarer knowledge. The only man in this region
who would
know this information and would be willing to share would be Zin's
competition."
Jade continued, "And we'll have to convince him to give us this little
tip.
In order to convince him, though, would mean bypassing his security
system
and his personal swat team!"
**
"I have a solution to that Jade, right here." Benton said as he sprayed
one
chemical onto the stone wall. "Now cover your eyes and be sure not
to touch
the edges." Dr. Quest sprayed the second chemical and the wall fizzled
away,
some of it dripping off into the ground.
"Wow, I have to get some of that. . ." Jade said looking at Race from
behind,
she then glanced at what *was* formerly a wall, "heh, and that."
Race went through first then helped Jade across, then Dr. Quest. "You
know,
these field trips can be so much fun Jade." Race whispered into her
ear.
His steamy breath against her ear's fine hairs sent shivers up her spine,
either that or the idea that she could get some 'wall away' chemicals
from
Dr. Quest. Dr. Quest took out his grappling gun (TM.) and launched
it up to
the fourth story roof. "Are you SURE he'll be in there?" Dr. Quest
asked Jade
as they climbed up the fortress with moonlight as their only guide.
"Yes, I'm positive about this, his study leads to his bedroom." Jade
said,
she took out a glasscutter and began to open the balcony's glass door
leading
into the large leather decorated room. "I'll stand on guard, you two
can have
a little talking with him."
As Race and Dr. Quest entered Jade rushed over to a bookcase and moved
it to
reveal a safe, "He was right, it's just where he said it would be."
Jade
implied the informant. She took out a small electronic device, a digital
safe
cracker, she tossed that to her side and grabbed the stethoscope. Click.
.
.click. . .clicka. . . pop! The safe was opened. "27, 9, 45. . . Mental
note,
play those in lotto tonight, because we have a winner!" She removed
a velvet
pouch with an armlet within it, closed the safe, sliding the shelf
back
leaving everything in the same place then before, she took her electronic
device and slid it back in her pocket.
**
"Where's ZIN?" Dr. Quest threatened, holding the middle-aged man in
his
pajamas over his balcony, a four-story drop. "He has my family, now
tell me
where he has them!"
The man chuckled, "Then I am no help to you dead. I commend your bravery,
or
is stupidity more appropriate? I shall tell you, but no one has ever
escaped
from Zin's fortress and has lived to talk of it, some have tried to
storm it
and have seen beasts of metal. . ."
"I'll deal with them, just tell me WHERE before I slip." Dr. Quest continued.
"Alright, Alright! If you must know, he is fourteen miles out of Cairo,
down
the Nile on the opposite side, it is underground, now let me go, and
if you
leave now, I may let you live!"
Dr. Quest dropped the man on his balcony floor and exited. "Thank you
for
your cooperation."
"We'll see each other again soon, I am sure." He said as he stood up
and
dusted himself off indignantly.
Jade poked her head inside the bedroom, "Well, are we ready to leave?"
"Yes Jade, we have what we came for."
"We certainly do!" She murmured. "Thieving cow, leaving those families
to
starve from the price of your 'insurance'. . ." Jade seemed angry but
then
washed her emotions back. "At least this will be a nice little dent
to you
and a grand donation to those families." Jade thought out loud, quiet
enough
not to be heard as they climbed down the ropes.
Suddenly, guards began shooting, making them hurry to their descend.
"I
thought he said he'd let us GO!" Dr. Quest said frustrated at the sudden
attack holding up his time.
"There's just no honor among thieves anymore. . ." Jade finished.
**
Back in the taxi, "Do you have it Jade?"
"Of course," Jade said, handing the driver the stone.
"Then our business is complete." He smirked viciously, "Zin will be
pleased!"
A glass drop separated the sections of the taxi immediately filling
their
side with a sleeping gas. Jade raised her gun trying to fire, but the
gas
took her out before she could get off a shot.
Bandit on the floor, Dr. Quest leaning against a window, where he too
tried
to add a ventilation shaft, Race reaching for his gun in his shoe,
and Jade
cluttered the back of the car.
"Very pleased."
**
The trio pressed against the two bricks at once, Jessie and Jonny in
one
corner, and Estella in the other. The floor began to slide open as
the bricks
slid further in, sending Jonny, Jessie, and Estella down a slide into
an
underground city.
"What in the world. . ." Jonny said at the sight.
"It's bigger than Indiana Jones!" Estella said, "Erm. . . I mean than
the
Great Pyramids of the Valley of Kings. . ." she looked around nervously
as
Jonny and Jessie cast their odd looks to her.
"Yeah. . . okay. . . WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!" Jonny said, Jessie turned
around to see that the Robot Spiders were already on their tails!
"And fast! Those things are right behind us!" Jessie said.
"Maybe they can't go up those narrow steps, let's go!" Jonny began sprinting
up the pyramid, followed closely by Jessie, Estella only a few steps
further
back. "Oh NO. . . They CAN follow us, go faster, we have to get to
the top!"
Jonny said.
Two steps before the top, Estella's heal broke off her right heal as
she
stepped onto the last step. "Damn it, cheap heals!" She swore
loudly, then
immediately shushed herself.
"Mom QUICK! Help us push over this statue, we could crush one!"
"I can't believe these cheap pieces of sh. . . I mean I can't believe
I'm
destroying this priceless artifact." Yet again Jonny and Jessie looked
at her
oddly, then back to their task.
As the statue fell towards the massive metallic spider, it shot a laser
beam
out, making the rock crumble into pieces, not one touching it. "Crud!"
Estella let out, she immediately took out her shoe's broken heal and
threw it
at the eye of the metallic spider. The spider stepped up as it used
the laser
beam to shoot the heal, and then it split on some debris, completely
missed
hitting the heal and went falling down the giant stairs like a slinky!
*Ker-smash. . .*
Jonny looked nervously around, "Uh, if anyone asks how we killed the
spider,
let's just say the statue hit it, okay?" he said. Jessie and Estella
nodded
silently in agreement simultaneously.
"That *would* be the right thing to do." Estella said, Jonny resumed.
"One down, two to go!" They began running until they heard a dog yapping.
"Bandit?" Jonny said, looking around.
Bandit came scampering in, "That means dad and Race have to be here.
. ."
Jonny deduced.
To answer the question, Jade, Race, and Dr. Quest all walked out from
behind
the wall. Then Yogi Bear tried to walk out from behind and Hanna Barbera
shot
him with a tranquilizer, "Wrong cross over episode, Yogi, you stupid
bear,
you're scheduled with the JETSONS not JONNY QUEST. . . stupid animal
actors.
. ." Hanna Barbera dragged the drug induced bear off the set. Jonny,
Jessie,
Estella, Jade, Race, and Dr. Quest all turned back to look at the scene
and
cast a silent look that screamed, "this is WRONG." Then, taking themselves
back into pose, Jonny spoke.
"Dad!" Jonny said excitedly. "Dad, what's wrong, why are you so. . ."
Dr. Zin then walked out, a befuddled look still falling over him too,
then he
shook his head, "Stupid executives, see what happens when I'm not in
complete
control of this stupid world and corporation. . ." He too then returned
to
his pose, "Heh-hemm. I meant to say. . . They are under MY control
now,
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Zin cackled, Dr. Quest grabbed Jonny, Race
grabbed/groped Jade, smirked, then released her and grabbed Jessie.
"Heh, heh, heh. . ." And Jade grabbed Estella. A smirk across her face too.
"Now jump off the cliff!" Zin said.
Jonny sighed, "You idiot, one, we're inside. . . and TWO I always CATCH
myself and save EVERYONE when I fall off a cliff. . ."
"Except, NOW *I* have a Jonny-Jinx." He put a necklace on Jonny and
Jonny's
arms, legs, and teeth went limp.
"Damn." Jonny murmured through limp teeth.
Zin pressed a button, "And NEVER SPITE THE ZIN DYNASTY, insolent brat,
Benton
obviously didn't spank you enough. . ." The wall turned around revealing
a
cliff that looked like it was out of Cliffhanger.
"Double Damn!" Jonny said again.
"Oh well, this might sting. . . Now JUMP!"
Bandit charged Zin and bit his hand, making him drop the scepter and
armlet.
Jade's quick hands caught that, a wallet, and well, a handful of something
else later to be revealed.
Race again smiled.
Zin turned around and began to fight Dr. Quest.
"That's it, you've endangered my family for the last time you egomaniacal.
.
. BALD GUY!" Dr. Quest insulted Zin, meanwhile all of Zin's guards
sat on
break in the coffee lounge.
"I knew I never should have allowed them to form a union!" Zin said
as he
began to fist fight Dr. Quest.
"Let's fight, man to man. . . Sexy good guy versus sexy evil guy!"
"Bring it on Benton!" Dr. Zin said, he then scowled, "Your only PhD
was in
Dentistry!"
Benton gasped from the 'kick' of the insult, "Oh yeah, your mama was
. . .a.
. . a. . .SO FAT WHEN SHE SAT ON A RAINBOW SKITTLES WOULD COME OUT!"
Zin fell
back into the wall.
"For that you shall DIE!" He pressed a button, the bridge collapsed,
"Wrong
button, hold on one moment please. . ." He took out his remote control,
:This
one's for my stereo. . . my new car. . . my garage door. . .OH HERE
IT IS, My
DUNGEON of eternal imprisonment," he pressed the button. *Clink, clink,
clink* the door lower and closed with them both inside.
Benton rolled his eyes, "Pink interior décor? Oh please. . .
gag me, I
thought Jessie's taste was getting bad." He then smacked Zin, "You
deluded
genius, HOW DID YOU GET THIS SICK!"
Zin then took out the knife that before he decided not to bother with
when he
was getting his bum whooped, and then stabbed Benton. All of a sudden,
a lady
with lipstick that matched Benton's white shirt-collar entered from
no where.
"You BASTARD! Benton baby, are you alright?" She said, kissing his wound.
"GIRLS. . . GET HIM!" Meach said.
A group of fifty crazed women of varying age attacked Zin. "You are
in
violation with codes 425-L section V AND 31052-B Paragraph J of the
Benton-is-A-Doll-baby primer, punishable by death!" Read out Helen,
smacking
a chicken launcher in her hand.
"We are APPAULED at how one of our FEW male members would ever break
our
traditional trust!" Ina-chan said, a violent gleam to her eyes, she
took out
the duct tape.
"For this crime against Cute-Benton-ness. . . You will be punished with
imprisonment in this catacomb WITHOUT Benton. . . and besides, did
you
honestly think we'd LET you keep Benton to yourself??? Without US?
And
hurting our precious Benton, these are unforgivable, get him girls!"
Meach
said again.
Steph-Jessie duct taped him to a chair. The group of women then exited,
"You
may continue the script now, Benton honey!" she said.
"BENTON, help me, I'm STUCK!"
"Zin, it's no use, I can't get you out of here. . ."
"Oh well, then we'll BOTH be trapped here eternal. . . I mean, I'm just
going
to bury myself for eternity in this room of kings and we can try to
resolve
our differences. . . via satellite communications, is that okay? Meach.
. .
Don't kill me! I'm too fashionable this season to die!"
Meach nodded from the side. A robot gave Dr. Quest a way out.
**
Meanwhile, as the Quest team exited the catacombs, Race found a hole
in the
roof and began to help the others out, looking up Jade and Estella's
skirt.
"Mmm-Hmm. I mean nothing." Race said as he helped the team get above
ground.
"I think our luck's finally changing." Jonny read from an Egyptian News
Paper
column, "Race, we have to find a way to help dad, he's still TRAPPED
DOWN
THERE!" he looked back at the comic, "Wow, this paper feels like papyrus!"
Jonny said, showing a low attention span.
"We'll find a way to get him out of here, don't worry. . . Oh no. .
. a robot
spy, NOW you can worry!" Race said, rolling his eyes. He sighed and
took out
Benton's two-part spray. "Oops, this could've helped Benton get out
of there,
oh well, he's a genius he'll think of something. . . Anyways, GUYS
DON'T
breathe this stuff in!" He sprayed the first compound down, then the
second
one. The floor collapsed as the robot walked across it.
"Screw using the tank." Dr. Quest came out inside another Robot Spy,
"Ah
shit! Maybe we *needed* the tank?"
"RUN!!!!!!" Jonny called out.
Dr. Quest then opened it. "No, no. . ." he said from a glowing eye beam
thing, "it's just me!"
**
Back at Jade's apartment, "I hot wired the robot after I was trapped
there. .
."
"Cool!" Jonny and Jessie said, "Dad, I want to learn how to hot wire things!"
"Me too Dr. Quest, teach us, please?"
"Sure thing kids. . ."
"Oh, Jade, that armlet is yours, think of it as a gift. . ." Race said
smiling drunkenly. Estella glared at him and growled. "I mean. . .
This is
payment for your services. . ." Estella kept growling, now covering
Jessie's
ears. "NOT THAT KIND OF SERVICES!" He yelled, blushing.
Jade smirked. "Yeah, those are always free. . ." Jade said, then winked.
Race
smacked himself in the head, then smirked.
"Really?" A smile on his face then shrunk away as he saw Estella, "I
mean,
no, that's wrong and immoral. . . we are. . . 'just friends' . . ."
he winked
at Jade.
"Yeah. . . just friends. . ." She said quirking her brow. "Oh, well
anyways,
Jonny, Jessie, you're homeless, the Compound blew up." Jade finished.
"I dunno, we *could* take the Florida Compound out of moth balls. .
." Race
added.
"My thoughts EXACTLY," Benton added. "After all, that has much more
space for
the new ladies who're moving in."
Jonny looked at his dad's collar, it was covered in lipstick. "DAD!
What the
hell!?!"
"Son, we all know what you and Jessie did on the island when you were
late
for dinner, grow up. Meach and I are just. . . engaged." He smirked,
"But
anyways, Florida's a great place, Jade, Estella, Jessie, Meach. . .
and all
the BAD girls in bikinis. . . just think of it son. And Hadji and you,
Race
and myself in swimming trunks. . . in the sunlight anyways. . . It
would be
fun, yes, let's move to Florida."
The End.
