The sky was as blue as a robin’s egg that afternoon, when more than two
thousand people were gathered at the Quest Compound in Maine. It was a happy
day for both the Quest and Bannon families, and they were finally becoming
relatives instead of just friends.
Everyone there watched with smile on their faces when the face of Jessie
Bannon glowed into almost unearthly beauty, as she became Jessie Quest.
Jonny nervously stood at the altar, waiting for his bride-to-be. He looked
startlingly handsome in a black suit, with a black bow and a white shirt
with ruffles on the shirtfront. Hadji stood next to him with the ring. Just
then, the “oooh”s and “aaah”s started, and Jonny new his bride had come.
He turned around to see her, and was once again surprised that a girl so
unbelievably beautiful, smart and courageous was willing to waste her life
on him.
Jessie wore Rachel Quest’s bridal gown, an elaborate off-the-shoulder
affair, with long, ruffled silk sleeves, a tight moonlight bodice, and a
flowing, full, four-feet-long train, that was all taffeta and lace,
embroidered with thousands of tiny flowers, each flower having a silver
outline. Her hair was held off her forehead with a tiara of tiny white
chamomiles, and it flowed loosely down her back. In her hands she held a
small white-and-pink tuberose bouquet.
As she approached the aisle, the audience watched in rapt silence. They had
probably never seen such a lovely bride. Jonathan himself, for once in his
life, was utterly speechless. They both looked into each other’s eyes, just
drowned in each other’s eyes, forgetting that people surrounded them.
The Minister broke the spell.
“If no one feels that this marriage should not take place, shall we begin?”
“Of course,” said Race, after giving every one present a look that would
have scared off a hungry Tyrannosaurus Rex.
“Do you, Jonathan, take Jessica to be your lawfully wedded wife-- to love
and to honour, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, until
death do you part?"
Jonny turned to look at Jessie just for a second before saying
“I do.”
The minister looked at Jessie.
"And do you, Jessica, take Jonathan to be your lawfully wedded husband--
to love and to honour, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health,
until death do you part?"
“I do,” said Jessie and there were tears in her eyes.
“The rings, now, please.”
Hadji produced Jonny's ring, which he slipped onto Jessie’s slender ring
finger.
Jessie’s ring was with Fatima who promptly presented it, and Jessie slid the
band onto Jonny's finger.
“Very good. I proclaim you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
All the people present there burst into enthusiastic applause as Jonny
leaned down and kissed Jessie, sealing the pact that would bind them
together till death.

“So it’s official now, old friend?” said a misty eyed Benton Quest, to an
exhilarated Race Bannon.
“Yep. But, got to say it, Doc, I knew they were meant to be.”
“Of course, Race,” said Dr. Quest, hiding a smirk. “Let’s go to the
refreshment table, shall we?”
“Sure, thing, In-Law.”

Then End.
The (X-Rated) honeymoon coming soon.
