Note: This is really lame. I love the song, so I’m writing this fic. This
fic contains a reference to another one of my fics called “Crush”. This
takes place on J&J’s trip to Prague, after the adventure is over.

Jonny grabbed Jessie’s arm as they reached their hotel room.
“I won!” she declared breathlessly, laughing.
“Well, you took a head start!” he accused, gasping for breath.
They had just returned from another one of Irina Kafka’s concerts, and had
raced up to their hotel room.
“Anyway,” he said, catching his breath now. “The concert wasn’t as boring as
the last few ones.”
“Maybe because it was in Irina’s house…?” she teased.
“Yes, yes. That’s it.” He replied sarcastically. “Jess, you know I don’t
really like her anymore. She’s boring.”

Jonny walked up to the radio and turned it on. It was playing a corny
country song.
“Hey, Jess! Let’s dance!”
“Oh, whatever.”
She stood up and walked to him. They started dancing like crazy people.
After a few songs, they were completely exhausted.
“Oh, that was fun!” declared Jonny, throwing himself onto his bed, and
pulling Jessie on top of him.
Just then, a Celine Dion song started. They both listened to the lyrics,
marvelling at how close the song was to their feelings…

*Do you realize how longs it’s been?
Where does all my time with you go? *

Jessie pondered over that. She and Jonny had been friends for years. And
whenever they were together time passed too, too fast.

*And all the memories
We shared as friends,
Reflected ---in my heart
In my heart is where they show*

Jonny remembered all the special times and moments they’d shared as friends.
The joys and sorrows. The triumphs and defeats. He realized he’d treasure
them forever.

We always have so much fun together, she thought. I love being with him.
Jessie thought of how she had had a secret crush on him, and how he’d kissed
her, passionately, gently, lovingly, when they were alone in the lighthouse
one day.

Do I love her? He wondered.
Yes, was the answer. Yes, I love her. She’s my world.

You’re hidden in a place that’s safe and true*

The two teens were trying to understand something that was so true. Each
moment of their lives was for the other.
He makes me feel safe, she thought, remembering how he had comforted her
fears when they were stuck at the Jules Verne (?) research centre. She
thought of how he had soothed her when Race was fighting for his life, after
a bull-fighting accident.
He’s my lifeline.

“Jessie? Do you want to dance?”
“I do.”

They stood up, and he put his arms around her waist. She slipped her arms
around his shoulders.

*With every second, you hold me near
I’m closer to a place I want to be*

He pulled her close. She was losing herself in his embrace. This was
something she’d unconsciously wanted for so, so long.

*To hear your whisper
No one else can hear
I want your love,
To stay forever inside of me*

He leaned closer to her and whispered.
“Tu eres la luz de mis ojos.” (You are the light of my eyes)

She smiled softly, realizing that he meant it with all his heart. She also
realized that she wanted to be the only one he ever said these words to.
Thinking of someone else ever being in his arms, a burning jealousy
enveloped her.

They swayed together, savouring every second.

She moved her head from his shoulder and looked at him.

She looked into his beautiful blue eyes. She heard all the things he said to
her, in their golden silence. The love he felt for her was clear in his
eyes.

Cause its reason I’m praying
You feel what I feel in everyway*

Please, please let him love me as much as I do. She prayed. Please let us
always be together.

As the last strains of Celine’s melodic voice faded away, Jonny leaned
forward, and gently kissed Jessie. She returned his sweet kiss, pulling him
closer, till you couldn’t see sunlight between them. As the innocent kiss
led to a more intense one, Jonny led Jessie to the bed, and they sat down,
never allowing their lips to part.
Finally, when the kiss ended, Jonny hugged Jessie. They sat there for a long
time, just savouring the moment that was eternal as the sun.
