Ideas for Building A Computer
I intend to build a new computer.

Specs of The Computers
This list is my old computer specs. I will only give the main specs of the computer, the ones that I will be changing.
- AMD K6-2 300 MHz CPU
- Western Digital 6 GB Hard Drive
- Iwill Socket 7 motherboard - XA100Plus
- 15 inch compusa monitor
- generic mid-tower case with 350w powersupply
Here are what I am thinking of getting for my new computer. Some are defintes, some are iffy.
- Athlon XP 2100 or 2200 with a motherboard to go with it - i can buy a cpu/mobo combo at a very low price
- A much bigger HD - 80-100 GB HD - almost definitely Western Digital
- I need a new monitor - from where, I do not know yet, still researching on this
- A new case that provides at least 400w powersupply and a lot of airflow ventilation - the Athlon XP will require the higher power supply and generate a lot of heat. The name of the case that I most likely will have decided on is Kingwin KT-436 made by kingwin.com but is sold by vendors such as 3dcool.com which carries some other choices of cases that I like. Another choice that I like is the 3dcool case called Tornado 2000.
- I also have to get a different kind of RAM for this computer, I won't be able to use the RAM from my old computer - I will need to get DDR ram. Depending on how much I've got left, I'm going for 512mb - if I have enough left, I'll get more.
