on additional illegitimate children of Lord William Manners:
There
are numerous authoritative sources showing that Lord William had numerous
illegitimate children, of whom many, though not necessarily all, were from his
relationship with Corbetta Smyth, dau of
"William Smyth, of Shrewsbury, apothecary."
The
only one of these who is mentioned by name is John, apparently the eldest son,
who inherited much of his father's property and married Lady Louisa Tollemache
who later became 7th Css of Dysart.

"eldest of the illegitimate sons of Lord William Manners ... by Corbetta, daughter of William Smyth, of
