The Palace

The palisade incloses some two acres; within it many shops and storage houses, even an ice house; in the center rears the great hall itself, that rude high-roofed palace of the north, the house of Svein Blue Tooth and his FC, The Ubara Triesha.

Torvaldsland in the Gor books is like Viking-time at earth. The Masters and Free Women are placed in furs. Close to them are the slave furs.

When you are not at the feet of a Master or a Free Woman you will kneel in the slave furs, ready for use or serve.

The floor is hard wood, varnished, with the sand pit in the middle of the floor, and a whipping pole in the center of it.

There is no servery or servy here, we have either a serving area, or a kitchen. From the serving area is a door to the outside, close to the inn an old ka-la-na tree and a well.

Plenty of dishes to be found, serving dishes are specified below.

These are the following items in the Inn used for serving. Footed bowls of pewter or lacquered (that means shiny) wood. Goblets of pewter, steel or glass with gold embossing. Tankards of steel. Mugs of clay or steel. Ale horns can be used for mead too, if the Master does not prefer tankard. Plates of lacquered wood, copper or steel. Bowls of lacquered wood, copper or steel.

Trays of red and black lacquered wood. (there are no silver trays here) There are no kettles over the fire, there are copper pots to brew blackwine, or kalda, it must be made fresh. Wines such as kalana are in Bottles NOT Botas. Botas are for travelling.
