What is HandWriting Analysis?
Simply saying, it is the study of handwriting, especially when employed as a means of analyzing character (Dictionary.com).
Expounding... Graphology, another name of HandWriting Analysis, comes from the Greek word graphe which means writing. One of the two factors for literacy, writing comes quite naturally after awhile. Although the world is moving into a more virtual reality, writing is still considered an important and necessary skill. It is especially essential in business transactions (think: signatures). Each individual has his/her own unique handwriting because of subconscious factors that move the individual to write in a certain way. Although many may have similar handwriting characteristics, to the best of my knowledge, there has not been a 100% match of handwriting. Now, studying the way a person writes is like studying his/her subconscious. In a sense, it is the analysis of an individual's subconscious.
What does it entail?
There are many factors to be considered when analyzing a person's way of writing. There is the size, slope, pressure, speed, slant, connections of letters with one another, amount of space used/between words, and a lot more.
How can I learn HandWriting Analysis?
Well, believe it or not, there are actually schools where you can study graphology. Also, there are quite a number of books that will help you learn how to analyze handwritings.I would recommend The Complete Idiot's Guide to Handwriting Analysis by Sheila Lowe, published by alpha books. Really good and easy to understand for beginners.
