Julie McCrossin started off as a guest on Good News Week in 1996. She later joined the show as one of the team captains, taking over from Anthony Ackroyd.
Before her involvement in GNW, Julie had many other jobs ranging form a bus driver to working in children's theatre. She currently writes a column for the Financial Review and hosts a show on ABC's Radio National called 'Life Matters'.
Julie is also involved in standing up for gay rights and also is studying for
a degree in law. After GNW finished, she hosted her own show on the ABC called
'McCrossin' -which was not a comedy show like GNW, but rather a show
which confronted current issues in society- that ran for one series. She talked
about hard-hitting issues and invited celebrities to talk about their own experiences
with the topic at hand.
