The History of Cougarmint's Cozy Cove

How did I end up at Angelfire? Well, it's a long story, but interesting, none-the-less. It all began with a simple website called Expage. It was a start, and at first I knew absolutely nothing of HTML.

As time passed, I wanted to do more with my website, and I noticed that my siblings were using Geocites. Well, I went to try my hand at it. I found it had less limits than Expage, yet it also crashed my computer at every turn. Giving up on that quickly, I went back to Expage.

Enter my best friend, Nick. He and I wanted to start a Lion King RPG, and again I used Expage to develop the main site as he did the basic Database. I allowed him to make a change to my main site, and that's how I learned the A Href command of HTML.

Then, one night, I looked at his database web page that he created with Angelfire. I asked him if we could change the music on one page because it didn't fit. He said, "Sure. In fact, why don't you give it a try?" He liked the idea of changing the music, but having me do it? I replied with, "You're crazy! I don't know the first thing about HTML!"

Well, we chuckled for a few minutes, and he told me, "It's not that difficult. Go on, try it." With shaking hands, I went into his database and made the change. After all was said and done, he assured me that HTML was not harmful at all, and he was right.

Time passed a little more- a year, infact, and we had done no further work on the Lion King RPG site due to criticism from my siblings, college, and other matters. He had given up on it, yet I finally decided to ignore the criticism and develop the Forum where the RPG would take place. From there, I experimented with HTML a little more and developed the attractive Lion King RPG logo that serves as the title to the Database and the Forum, thus learning the img src command.

My work didn't stop there, as I made the custom log-out page for the forum and learned how to use HTML a little deeper. It was then that I decided to give my own page, Cougarmint's Cozy cove, a better design then what Expage offered.

Well, here it is: my first major project with HTML. I am a bit more comfortable with using it, and in fact, I find HTML easy and rather fun to work with. I even bought an HTML book and began to deepen my studies.

That's my Web Page history. If you wish, you can take a look at the web page that started it all, or return to my main page.

I would like to see The Original Cougarmint's Cozy Cove Webpage- the page that started it all.

Take me back to The Main Page.
