Part I: The Spiritual Stones
The Great Deku Tree
For Starters:
The first thing you should do after you exit your house it talk to Saria, she'll express her hapiness that you have a fairy, and urge you to go see the Great Deku Tree.
Finding the Tree:
Work your way twards the big circle on the right side of the map, you'll get about 1/2 way there when Mido stops you and and says you need a sword and a shield.
Getting Equiped:
The first thing you should find is the sword (It'll help you get the shield later). To find it, go to the far right side of the map, and go up the ramp to an area filled with small fences. Weave in between these to the back wall with a small hole in it; walk up to the small hole,(your action[blue] button should read 'enter') and press 'A'. Inside the hole, keep going forward, until you come out the other side and stand up. Hang a left, and grab the blue rupee, you'll need it later. Turn around, and if you wait a while you'll see a big boulder coming, never fear, the boulder can only roll on the dirst path, much like a train on tracks. Get up close to the path, wait for the boulder, and fallow it. Take the second right you see, and this will lead you to a chest with the sword inside.
After you make your way out of this little cavern, you might want to stop and talk to the man right next to the hole, it'll get you some practice, and some rupees. Now, the object of this next part is to gather 40 rupees, and purchase the Deku sheild. Some ways to do this include: search in long grass, cut short grass, and throwing rocks. When you have the money, go to the shop (building with the girl sitting on top) and buy your shield.
The Big Tree:
Go back to where Mido is, and talk to him, he'll move aside, and you can go through to see the tree. In this little passage way, there are three monsters, take them out with your sword , and continue on.
Dungeon I: The Great Deku Tree
When you enter the tree, turn to your left, you'll see a ladder, climb it, and begin up the lage corkscrew ramp. You'll run into a big chest eventualy, open it, suprise, its the Map. Keep going up the ramp until you find a door. Open it, to get rid of the deku scrub, Z target, and raise your sheild; when you hit him with his own nut, stand on top of his little mound and wait for him to surender. Continue on to the next room. Inside this room, just push and hold the analog stick forward, you'll jump to the platform, keep holding, and you'll make a blind jump to the other side. (If you somehow miss the platform and fall or somehting, just climb the vines.) Retrieve the slingshot from the big chest. Turn around, Z target, then shoot the ladder with your new-found weapon, and make your exit. Backtrack to the place where you got the Map, kill all three spiders, climb up, right, and drop down. Continue up the ramp, enter the first door you encounter. Upon your entrance, step on the swich, quickly jump from one platform to the next, when you get to the other side, retrieve the compass. If you want to nab the first gold skulltula, kill the spider, and then hang a left on the second platform. Light a stick, and then the unlit torch to unbar the door.
Going Under
After exiting the room, kill any one of the three spiders guarding the openings. After that, back up, and jump, don't push the stick forward or bakcward, just jump. You should punch through the web, and land in water. Kill the spiders and grab the token's if you want, walk onto the swich to activate the torch. Light a sitck, jump into the shallow water, and run twards the other landing. As soon as you land, bolt at the wall of webbing. Your lighted stick will burn it down, allowing access to the door. Take care of the scrub, and make note of his combination: 2, 3, 1. Shoot the eye to unbar the door an proceed.
In the next room, jump into the water, and swim to the left wall, right under the spiked bar. Dive down to activate the swich. Run up the ramp, wait for the platform, jump on it, it'll ferry you accross, then jump to the other side. Next, kill the spider, push the block to the other side, and climb it to reach the door. In the next room, light the unlit torches to unbar the door. Be careful: in this domed cavern as you proceed, gohma's egg's are attached to the ceiling, and will drop and hatch if you walk under them. First though, kill the spider and head left along the perimiter. Light a stick on the torch, and continue going clickwise. Light not the first, but the second web, and proceed through the small tunnel. You'll find yourself in the first underground room, except now your on the high platform. Push the block to your left of the edge, and use it to get to the platform w/ the torch. Light a stick, and use the block to return to the high platform, as you walk accross the webbing, press (A) to roll, setting it a flame. Jump into the hole.
The scrub brothers: Hit the middle one with his nut first (2), then the right one (3), and finaly, the left one (1). Stand on NO. 1's mond, and he'll tell you Gohma's secret. Head through the door and get ready to fight the Boss.
Gohma
Walk into the room, and search the ceiling for Gohma (using ^C). When you find her, she'll drop down, and the fight begins. Z target her eye, she'll rear up and the eye'll turn red. Shoot it now. Slice her while she's down (I was able to get in about 4 hits). She'll climb back up, but keep her eye targeted, shoot the bug when she reaches the ceiling, she'll fall, stunned, slash away. NOTE: If you lose the targeted eye, she'll drop her eggs, slash them before they hatch, or take care of them when they do.
Repeat this process of stunning and slashing until Gohma bites the big one, grab your heard, and step into the warp to head back up top for story from the Great Deku tree, and the Kokiri emerald.
After the Deku tree give's you your next task, head to the left side of the map, and exit the forest. Saria will be there, and she'll give you an ocarina, now head to hyrule field. As you walk out to the feild, you'll come accross a new character, Kapercona Gaborgia (I thik that's I how you spell his name, if not, to hell with it). He's an owl who will help on your quest for the spititual stones. Next, run to the north part of Hyrule Field, and enter hyrule market town. There's only one thing you actually need to do here, talk to the little girl with long orange hair about her dad going to the castle. If you wanna hang out for a while and check out the shop's thats fine, when your ready, head towards the castle.
Making your Entrance:
First, walk forward and converse with the owl, then turn and talk to Malon (orange haired girl). Take her egg and climb the vine she's standing next to. Now, make your way to the bridge, either climb down the ladder, or jump or the edge. Now, sneak around the guards, (if a more detailed description is needed of this process, email me) making your way to the far left side of the map. Along this wall you'll find a section that's stone, climb it and jump off the other side and into the moat. Swim through the moat until you find a little raised section, and climb out, keep heading along the perimiter, and you'll find a sleeping man. Wait until it turns night, and then until it turns day again for the egg to hatch, when it does, hold it in frot of Talon (This is the little girl's dad) to wake him up. Now, puch the crates off the ledge he was blocking, making a small tower you can use to jump to the other side, and enter the inner castle. Now, sneaking pass these guards ir pretty easy, just watch for a bit to figure out their patterns, and snaek past at the right moment. When you make it to the courtyeard, go talk to Zelda. After going through her story and what she wants of you, go and talk the the creepy looking woman blocking the exit, she'll teach you Zelda's Lullabye: (<) (^) (>). Outside the castle, you'll continue shortly and Impa will do a cool little trick, leaving you with the company of yourelf.
