Fearing - The Goods and Bads
|

 |
The Goods:
Sometimes, if fearing something will keep you from receiving pain, then fear is good. It is like a natural instinct. For example. If you fear asking a girl out because every girl in the past has humiliated you and your pride and you are afraid to ask another girl out because if you get another 'no' in a very cruel way, you will do away with your self; then fear is good.
The Bads:
Fear can always make you miss out on a lot of opportunities as well. Sometimes, the grass on the other side is greener than the grass you are standing on, but if you fear to travel to see what is beond, then you will never know the good that you are missing. Fearing people can make you antisocial and that can lead to a lot of depression, lonliness, corruptiveness, anger, and other forms of pain. Most people are mean as hell out there, but there are nice people out there as well. So fear can lead to a lot of negative things if you fear them immensely.
Some helpful tips:
If you fear that doing something will completely ruin your life, it is best to stay with those fears. If you fear that something bad might happen, but some doors might open for you, then you should face your fears and go for it. Now IF there is a fifty-fifty chance that you will win it all or die trying, then DO NOT DO IT!!!! If you are doing something like asking out the girl of your dreams, then DO NOT DO IT!!!! I made that mistake when I was in tenth grade with the girl that I loved. After that, I think I messed up one of my kidneys in a suicide attempt. And after that, the fear has overwhelmed me and now I fear asking any girls out because of the rudeness and immatureness that my love has shown. So only trust fears if it will open doors or it will open a door that you must go through.
