.:Batch History:.
by:Anonymous

Seated on a bench under a shaded tree, I watched my schoolmates passed by. As I brushed my feet lazily on the fallen leaves, I closed my eyes and felt the air sweeping through me. My mind led me four years back when I found myself astoundingly at the three-storey building of the Filamer Christian College High School Complex, the school where I spent my High School years.

Our freshmen years were said to be our "Adjustment Period" considering we would enter into the life of adolescence very soon and leave our childhood behind. Young and neophytes, we were active and vociferous but we're able to cope up with out school responsibilities. It was Sir Jose Alvarez who was the adviser of Giffin, Ma'am Urla Dela the adviser of Brodbeck, Ma'am Marian Banquillo for the Archer and Ma'am Theresa Cosico for Pettit section. It was our first year in high School level and we did so Many things, we handled our first convocation, not bad. During this year we had sad and happy moments even dull moments too. We're very proud of Maribeth Delo Santos who got the first place in math Olympiad. It's also the maddest year of Leoniel Aperocho where he cried due to some jokes and misunderstanding. In that year, too , Imee Capapas and the group got involved in some troubles. There was also a time when Ricky Villanueva became the enemy of almost all his classmates. In the name of love, our batch was caught to some interactions like as follows: the hidden desire of Jessica Panagsanan to Crisbe Donnel Fran and the hidden affection of Aiza Dorado towards Chris Bergantinos. During that year some of our classmates and schoolmates transferred to there other schools. They were Doreen Soriano, Jessica Panagsanan, Michael Young, Joyfe contreras and Anthony Padua.

Another year of sufferings, another year to conquer, more pressures to faces and excitement to feel. This is the essence of our sophomore year. It was said to be the continuing process of adolescence stage, where we used to start on courting and showing our hidden talents, which was not shown during our freshmen. That time we were no longer neophytes in the game and sophomore were actively participating in all extra curricular activities through the efforts of our supportive advisers: Mrs. Anecita Norico for B-II, Mrs. Corazon Distura for G-II, Mrs. Modesta Cartujano for P-II. Foundation day was the first inter-Filamer event for the year. It was where our classmates reaped gold medals for being the champion in badminton competition where Valentino Nolasco won for boys and Whelyn Ann Alvarez for the girls respectively. The same through happened to the Folk Dance competition with Pamela Aira Delfin, Mark Durana, Chris Ian Viola and other levels. Our skills were not just limited to this alone, so when the biggest days for the high school came, the high school fun fest 01'. We tried to show our skills in making cheers and yells wherein we garnered the topmost award, we were also recognized for being the best library goers and most of all Brodbeck was recognized for having the cleanest room in the campus, the room 106 under the advisory of Mrs. Anecita Norico. Year 1999 was indeed very memorable, it was also when our second convocation happened. Different talents were shown by four different sections of second year. We also met new faces from different schools: they were Michael Guarin, Joan Combate, Janine Galve, Faith hope Dela Pedra, Ray Robert Rivera, Jonalyn Basea, KC Young, Ian Blancaflor.,Arjay Mark Ame.

Our third year was a mixture of both frenzied and worsened feelings. This maybe because of the combination of rambo and bonifacio in the person of Alvin Villagracia, when he attack everyone with his mini light saver pen, as quoted: "a pen is mightier than a sword." Camp, camps the activities that bond the students in a way of having fun and learning. This was the time when Jomar Gialogo, transferee from Philippine Science won the first place in math Olympiad. We also welcome Mary Mayzee Bernas from CIT and Kimberlyn Ritos from Saipan to our batch. This was also the time when Valentino Nolasco thought that he could imitate superman which made him split the table into half. We we're very excited to attend our first junior-Senior Fellowship and it turned our to be fine. There maybe intriguing happenings during our third year and it's better to keep the treasure box of history.

Our Forth year in High School was a year of difference. It was the year of being matured enough, know how to make your own decisions, more responsible to tackle. A year when we discover lots of things and ralizing who and what we really want to be. A year when we have to get ready for college life. Many of us decide to enroll in some universities of san agustin, West Visayas State University, Central Philippine University, and a lot more. Of course this still a good year since there is no NSAT. During this year, there are things that happened, like the sectioning, Brodbeck, giffin, Archer, and Pettit were changed to Brodbeck, Stanford, Masa. Which are under the supervision of Mrs. Florentina Fantilaga for Brodbeck, Ms. Minda Bulquerin for Stanford, Ms. Nida Laventa for Masa. We also welcome our new classmates who were transferred to different sections like Christine Esquillio, Lailyn Develos, Ryan Panes, Polly Sison, April Alejandro, Ricky Villanueva, Peter luke Acevedo, and Leandro Billones. By this time Jomar Gialogo won the math Olympiad once again, and he was sent to the regional Level. And during our high school fun fest festival, we garnered meny awards, such as first placer in interprative Dance, Bible quiz, and Cheering Competition.

I dunno who made this... but Thanks! It's a very long masterpiece indeed. ^^; -Rion-X
