"What the blood plasma is to the human body, that of the Eucharist is to the Mystical Body. In the human body is a lymph flowing through the bloodstream, carrying a store of provisions which is tapped by each individual cell; supplying it not only with the food it needs, but also repairing its waste parts.
This flowing tide of sustenance passes by every door, displaying and offering its goods to its tiny cells, making them all one body because all are nourished by the same food" (Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen).

Today I saw the glory of God which flows from the image. Many souls are receiving graces, although they do not speak of it openly. Even though it has met up with all sorts of vicissitudes, God is receiving glory because of it; and the efforts of Satan and of evil men are shattered and come to naught. In spite of Satan's anger, The Divine Mercy will triumph over the whole world and will be worshiped by all souls. (1789)

July 2 - A SONG OF LOVE
The foundation of the Medjugorje messages, and of the Christian life itself, is love:
Dear children, today I call you to a love which is loyal and pleasing to God. Little children, your love should bear all that is bitter and difficult for the sake of Jesus, who is love. And so, dear children, pray that God may come to your aid—but not according to your wishes, but in accord with his loving plans for you. Surrender yourselves to God so that he may heal you, console you, and forgive everything inside of you which hinders you on the way of love. In this way, God can mold your life and you will grow in love. Dear children, glorify God with a song of love so that his love may grow in you day by day to its fullness.

Paul also emphasizes love as the one thing necessary:
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Cor 13:4-7)
Reflection:
Having discussed spiritual gifts earlier in his letter, Paul now focuses on the core of spirituality: love. No matter what gift a person has, if he or she does not express love in using that gift, then whatever is done is empty.
The greatest measure of spirituality is the extent to which Christ like love fills our lives. This is not a love that we can muster up within ourselves; it is a supernatural love given by the Holy Spirit. In this context, the Virgin could say to Jelena: "Pray unceasingly to Jesus, that he fill your heart with love." For Paul, our love is central to all that we do, for it is the foundation of spirituality. The more intimately we know and love Christ, the more love will grow in our hearts.
Application:
In her message today, the Madonna equates growth in love with surrender to God. This day, then, surrender yourself again to God (for surrender is an ongoing process, like conversion), so his love will take deeper root in your heart.

When, during adoration, I repeated the prayer, "Holy God" several times, a vivid presence of God suddenly swept over me, and I was caught up in spirit before the majesty of God. I saw how the Angels and the Saints of the Lord give glory to God. The glory of God is so great that I dare not try to describe it, because I would not be able to do so, and souls might think that what I have written is all there is. Saint Paul, I understand now why you did not want to describe heaven, but only said that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him [cf. 1 Corinthians 2:9; 2 Corinthians 12:1-7]. July 1 - A SPECIAL DAY
Our Lady speaks of talents to Jelena's prayer group:
Each of you has a special gift which is your own, and can alone understand it interiorly. (Locutionist Jelena Message 7-85)
And in Romans, Paul urges the people to utilize their gifts: We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us:
prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness (Romans 12:6-8)
Reflection:
Looking at Paul's list of talents, we can imagine the kinds of people who would have each gift. For instance, prophets are often bold and articulate; servers are faithful and loyal; teachers are clear thinkers; preachers know how to motivate others. Givers are generous and trusting, while administrators are good organizers and managers. Comforters are sympathetic and have a natural ability to listen. It would be impossible for one person to embody all these gifts. An assertive prophet would not usually make a good counselor, and a generous giver might fail as an administrator.
Once you have identified your own gifts (and Paul's list is far from complete), ask yourself how you can use them to God's glory. Aware that your gifts cannot do the work of your local church alone, give thanks for the people whose gifts are completely different from your own. Let your strengths balance their deficiencies, and vice versa, so that we can all build up Christ's church together.
Application:
Identify at least one talent that you can use in the Lord's service.

On the first of every month, Our Lord gives Anne a new message about His call to
service.
July 1, 2008
Jesus My heart never stops loving and not for a moment does My heart stop
craving love in return. I crave love from you, My dear apostle. You love Me, I
know. You serve Me with steadiness, I know.
What is it that Jesus wants from Me that I am not giving?, you ask. I will tell
you. I want you to show Me that you understand My love for you by trusting Me.
I am hurt when you do not trust Me. Look at your time of service. Would you
agree that I have provided you with everything you need to see to your part in
My plan? Would you agree that I have given you consolation when you were
afraid? Have I not guided you when you were unsure? What have I withheld from
you?
You are growing in holiness and I am answering your prayers for your loved ones
with heavenly prudence and steadiness. The part you are called to play in My
plan is important and I need your service but I would never ask you to serve to
the detriment of your holiness. If you are not increasing in holiness, My dear
apostle, it is because you are not allowing Me to direct you. Perhaps you are
increasing but not as quickly as you would like. That is another matter
altogether. It is for Me to decide how quickly to advance you. It is for you
to cooperate.
I am speaking today so that I can urge you forward. My apostles must be
willing to benefit from the guidance I am sending. You must sit in silence with
Me each day, asking Me where you can improve in holiness.
What habits are you holding on to that you need to relinquish? What new habits
should replace them?
Apostles, it is not to stand still that you are called, but to move forward in
holiness. This advance is necessary for these times or I would not be calling
you to it so seriously. I am looking for you to change. I want you to grow.
Many of you are saintly now, walking closely with Me in each day.
I rejoice in you, it is true. You know that I do. And yet, I allow you to
remain on earth, to work, yes, but also to become even holier. One of the ways
you can become holy in a short time is by trusting Me in everything.
A small child does not worry about one meal shortly after she has been fed
another. She trusts her parents to provide for her, particularly if she has
never gone hungry.
You, dear apostles, have never been without My providence so there is no reason
for you to fear. You can trust Me. I have proved this to you many times. I
desire that you serve in joy and confidence and only through trusting Me will
that be possible. Return My great love for you by trusting Me in everything.
